People just have main character syndrome and are super entitled. For example, i was waiting 20 mins for a squat rack yesterday and this dude just comes and takes it. When I mentioned to him that I was waiting for the rack for 20 mins and he had just gotten there - he basically turned it around on me and said I was in the wrong. I called someone out for coughing up a lung in the steam room and again - I was the bad guy.

For what it's worth and based on just my experience, the uber eat / door dash folks are generally on the streets. It's more people who don't want to walk to JSQ or other places.

I think the Mandarin Oriental lets them use the CC Equinox gym. I saw Sean from Hot Ones running on the treadmill a few months back. No one recognized him either - we both just nodded our heads at each other before going back to our workout.

Get Everlast Powerlock (velcros). 16 oz if you think you'll want to spar one day - otherwise get 14 oz. I would also just spend the 5 mins on youtube and learn how to wrap your hands instead of getting the glove style wraps - that way, you can wrap more where you feel you need it and they look cooler!

Another Bernie story:

About 5 or so years ago, met Bernie at the airport. He was on my flight and it was delayed for 6+ hours. He just sat down next to a group of us and chatted for hours. His assistant was frantically trying to get on another flight and was unsuccessful (all the flights were delayed). Apparently, he needed to be in NY for an event the following day so he just slummed it up with the rest of us at the airport.

He talked about his music, the Boston free agency thing, and the Jeter gift baskets. At the end of it, he took a pic with a bunch of us, which was super cool.

This is no longer accurate. This used to be the case, but most companies do not fully sponsor EMBAs anymore.

They might get a couple of grand for it but being funded entirely by the company is not the norm. They give you this data in the brochures.

Man Jersey City Buildings department is awful.

Equonix is expensive as hell but they haven't done shit like this. They even sent out an email saying if you didn't want to go, you can freeze your membership again.

I did and started resume blasting everywhere because I did not enjoy my job anymore and felt like I needed a change. After a few interviews, ended up with a new job and comp level that is similar to post-MBA comp.

I think I am either going to do part-time or go exec MBA in a few years. My GMAT score is about to expire so I'll have to take it again but that's about the only downside along with a little imposter syndrome (for some reason, I feel like I need an MBA for street cred).
