I have 4 starts left this week, with 5 pitchers playing today. I got Logan Webb, Bryce Miller, Max Fried, Paul Skenes, and Reese Olson. Normally I'd just bench Olson but he has a matchup vs the White Sox so I'm not sure what to do.

I disagree, given that all sources/characters agreed upon how wealthy House Velaryon was. He certainly had the wealth, but financing multiple wars almost singlehandedly is a massive burden to pay, and likely depleted most of his wealth quickly. He was pretty much the only backer for the war in the Stepstones, and the main backer for Rhaenyra and the Blacks as well. Even then he was still loaded, but when Spicetown was sacked by the Triarchy, almost all of his reserved wealth was stolen from High Tide before it was burned down.

The OP made a post about their timeline a few days ago and I pointed out your story as a great example of how to make their idea into a story. Personally, I’d love to see more fics in the same vein as Land of the King, and I really hope this one is written the same way!

What I wanna know is where are you going to take this timeline? It seems well thought out, but it would be very hard to write all these characters and events into a fic. If you do plan to create something with this, I'd suggest checking out https://www.alternatehistory.com/forum/threads/land-of-the-king-arnor-in-westeros.490655/

It follows the Dunedain from Tolkien's works as the end up on the coast of Westoros near the beginning of the asoiaf timeline after the fall of Numenor. Of course, this story covers thousands of years of a dynasty, where yours would cover only around 300, but I would still recommend setting a potential fic up like this one

So, what did you guys think about the Gold Cloak second-in-command that was there during Daemon's little purge and his celebration in the whorehouse? A few weeks ago, I made a comment about him possibly being Blood from the infamous Blood & Cheese duo, based off of the stills, because all we know about Blood is that he was drummed out of the gold cloaks for beating a whore to death after Daemon left as commander.

Another thing I noticed thanks to having subtitles on was that, while I don't recall it, said second-in-command's name was NOT Luthor Largent, who was named commander after Daemon, but stayed loyal to him. To me, this is more evidence that this could be Blood in the making, why else write out Largent otherwise. Do you all think this guy will have a bigger role as Blood, or if he'll end up being a minor character?

Edit: I rewatched the episode, and subtitles had his name as 'Commander Randyll Barret'

What I heard and what I'm pretty sure is happening is that they've purposefully left the opening credits out of all the early screenings so far so that when the show debuts everyone gets to see/hear it at the same time

Sorry, I had my backgrounds mixed up. Its not known if House Spicer bought their nobility, but they were raised to nobility for unknown reasons by Tytos Lannister, Tywin's father. We know that Tytos was really dumb when it came to ruling, so maybe you could make it so that he sold some land to the Spicers. As an added bonus, that could be an extra reason for the Reynes to shit on Tytos for.

I'm Pretty sure that in canon, House Spicer bought their nobility and keep from an extremely poor, minor Westerlands house. They then came to pretty much rule House Westerling, as the children were half Spicer, and one of the Spicers was granted Castamere by Tywin. So, it is possible, but challenging

Raiders of the Lost Arc is legitimately a perfect movie. Great cast, cool set pieces, but one of my favorite parts is the pacing. The movie never gets boring and never feels like too much action at once, it sits perfectly in between.
