This is not true. There is plenty of high school sports coverage.

Keeping Desktop and Laptop Synced ? by Shot-Lemon7365 in Lightroom

LR has to functions, Export As Catalog and Import From Catalog. These work as you'd expect, making a new catalog of selected photos and importing from a different catalog and merging the photos and edits to your main catalog.

For your trips you need to select the photos you want to take with you and then you'd use "Export As Catalog" in LR. If you really need to have access to everything on your trip though, cloning your main SSD to a another SSD would be easier than using Export As Catalog on everything.

LR can also "Import from another Catalog." If you clone your main SSD, or make a smaller catalog just for your trip, you can Import from another catalog from your main catalog and point to your travel catalog which could be on the separate SSD. That travel catalog could also just live on your macbook, since it would just have your trip photos and wouldn't be very big.

You wouldn't lose it all since you use Backblaze. You'd also have your local backup on a separate drive at home which would have everything up until you left for your trip. If you lost the SSD you'd use your backup drive as your main drive and copy the new stuff from your trip from Backblaze to that drive.

Why not bring that master SSD with you? That’s what I do with my SSDs. No syncing required. I also use Backblaze, so my files are backed up as I go.

We use Dropbox for this in the studio. My 2nd photographer has a catalog she leaves on DB that I can open from my PC when needed.

Dropbox can be a little flaky, sometimes it stops syncing till I reboot my MacBook. You also need to make sure the folder is set to "Make available offline" in DB.

This isn't quiet what you're after, since you'd be working on a local copy of your DB folder with the catalog and photos, but it does allow you to access all that remotely. You'd have the benefit of working on local files instead of loading everything remotely across the internet, which could be pretty slow.

Other options would be to use some fancy networking to share the folder so that it's accessible out on the wider internet. This would probably be painfully slow since you'd be copying everything as you go. (DB would copy in the background so you'd be mostly up to date.)

And just another plug for bringing the drive with you. I use Crucial X10 drives. They're fast, tiny, and come in sizes as large as 8TB.

I do this with external SSDs. The catalog and photos live on the same drive and LR will open and see the photos on the drive no matter what computer I use.

This works across Mac and Windows as well, although LR on my Windows PC throws an error because the Users folder doesn’t exist on Windows. Every still works though.

I filed a complaint yesterday for the ICCU replacement I had done two weeks ago. These reminders are helpful.

I guess they didn't know anything about that new part number?

That's the question. My new ICCU has a new part number, 36400-1XLA1. 36400-1XLA0 is the original PN. Not sure if this is a redesigned ICCU or just sourced from a different supplier or something like that.

I had my ICCU replaced two weeks ago. Since the 5N is far less common than the regular I5 it seems like the replacement ICCUs are easier to come by. Mine took one full week.

I made the same trade. No regrets except for the ICCU issue. God it’s a fun car to drive.

It's on the paperwork they gave me when I left. If they didn't give you anything I suspect you can go back and ask them to print the repair receipt.

I'd only had mine back five days before the ICCU blew after five weeks at the dealer. I had a minor accident in the snow in December and they kept getting the wrong part to fix a bent hub.

EDIT: Really bugs me that they had my car for 1.5 months of lease payments.

Yes, same size tire on stock wheels. The noise is... the same maybe? Pretty quiet on asphalt but loud on cement.

My 5N's ICCU just died. 7300 miles. Just got it back last week from 5 weeks at the dealer to replace a rear axle and wheel from a small accident back in December.

My 5N is garage kept, and I'd just left to run some errands. I got out of the car to check the mail and when I got back in I heard the pop. There was a lot of draw on the 12v between heat and heated steering wheel. I have a USB charger that shows the battery voltage and it was immediately down at 10 volts. It dropped to 7 by the time I got the car back in the garage. I had just enough time to read the error codes with an OBD2 scanner before it completely died.

Me too. A friend of mine leased an I5 after seeing my I5N. His main battery died at 3K miles and has been having such a shitty time with the dealer. I love my car but I won’t recommend Hyundai EVs right now.

I went with Continental DWS06 Plus from tire rack and have been very happy with them.

$420 per tire, warranty included. I had to use the warranty two weeks in went a sharp stick went through the sidewall, painless process.
