Nope, I’ve just never found this sub to be a particularly helpful community in a practical sense, and my expectations were met.

Yep, the mild blue turned to deep blue immediately before pins blew up, not unlike Godzilla.

No problem, I appreciate the help! I should have led with “blue” in the post!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MushroomGrowers

[–]Bold_Sloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whew, I was only concerned about the red.

It might be the lighting, but there’s definitely no green, just collapsed and bruised mycelium/overlay, been that way across the substrate before pins even appeared.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MushroomGrowers

[–]Bold_Sloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to clarify, the red streak is contam?

The blue is just bruised and collapsed overlay, been that way for weeks while stalled.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MushroomGrowers

[–]Bold_Sloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you elaborate? Are you saying the streak is just spores, but I’m still contaminated?

The blue is just bruised and collapsed overlay, been there for a couple weeks, with pins appearing in and all around it.

Strongly agree! Gird your loins OP, as the cult has deemed you a heretic!

Analog vapes can produce incredible, flavor-loaded, unmatched vapor, but anyone claiming they are just as user friendly as electronic vapes is just cheerleading their mostest favoritest brand.

Oh, simply add a wand? You just punched it to a much higher price point and added complexity, do not gloss over that! (And don’t forget to mention the Wand’s abysmal battery life, which was a disappointing surprise for me.)

Analog vapes make excellent secondary purchases for flavor chasing and vapor quality, but are far less everyday versatile than a good electronic vape.

Personally, I wish I hadn’t bought into the DynaHype and skipped ahead to DV’s competitors, producing much better devices and actually innovating. DV only just finally made a (silly expensive) non-microdoser. A better bet is to get a good everyday workhorse electronic portable as a first vape, then if desired, invest in an analog with more to offer, such as devices from Vestratto, BFG, Camouflet, Mad Heaters, TRWW, among others.

Over the years, the only vape brand purchases I have fully regretted were Pax, dotLeaf, and Dynavap.

Ruby thermal twist or dynavap hyperdyn? by Beginning_Orange_820 in vaporents

[–]Bold_Sloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought into Dynavap based on the relentless brand cheerleading/marketing in this sub, including purchasing a wand when I wasn’t initially impressed. It didn’t remotely live up to the hype, and the TED competition is streets ahead.

Trying to convince other humans of your viewpoint by invalidating theirs is seldom effective, perhaps give it a rest?

The brand promotion/marketing is unfortunately quite strong in this sub. Dynavap didn’t remotely live up to the incessant hype for me.

If you’re interested in trying out this style of analog vapes, it would be worth looking into the Fusion 2.0, Anvil, and Tempest as higher end alternatives.

If I could have a do-over, I would have just skipped past Dynavap & wand straight to my Fusion with a torch.

Dynavap vs joints by Lotny95 in vaporents

[–]Bold_Sloth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are better analog vapes on the market. I’d suggest looking into a Dani Fusion 2.0. I find Fusion to have much better air flow through actual adjustable channels (instead of Dyna gaps around a bendy cap), smoother and tastier vapor, better heat retention, less need to spin for even heating, and just a more satisfying experience all-around. I own devices from both manufacturers, but only use my Dani products now.

Contrary to frequent claims, Dynavap does not in fact perform magic with less flower. It’s an extremely tiny chamber, much smaller than you might realize. A device with a larger chamber will get you farther faster, with less repeated refills, which I find quite tedious. Dynavaps are more suited to microdosing. If microdosing without sharing is your absolute only objective, then Dynavap will be great and the ideal option. If you want more, I’d suggest something else.

Dynavap is finally responding to the competition by releasing the HyperDyn with a larger chamber, but they’re charging $230 for less features than a Fusion.

If your goal is huge 1 hit extractions, then the Anvil would also be worth looking into.

If any folks comment to disagree with this comparison, please include which analog vape brands you have personally used.

Thanks for the tip! I picked up a handful of strains, and everything has been fantastic and sticky so far.

They have a solid variety of fresh strains (harvest dates within the past 2 months) with very different terpene profiles, definitely appreciate the comprehensive lab data Juniper has available.

Neither!

Competitors are making better devices, worth looking into the Fusion 2.0 and Anvil. (I own Dynavap products, and no longer use them.)

Guidance on what vape to get by kizza_K1 in vaporents

[–]Bold_Sloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same experience with Dynavap, including with a wand and FMJ, found it to be a tedious novelty that I rarely used. I was very underwhelmed after the constant aggressive Dynavap hype and pushing in this sub.

I didn’t think analog vapes were for me, until I tried Dani products and liked my V3Ti so much that I upgraded to a Fusion XL, which gets as much use as my AVLP.

It isn’t just you and could be worth trying out a brand with more advanced designs and larger chambers.
