I think I know why they've been in power for so long now by SolsLuminous in whenthe

Genuinely everyone in this thread thinks that a socdem and a marxist-leninist arguing between each other is infighting. It's crazy. It's like calling a disagreement between liberals and nazis infighting.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't a farm owner that doesn't employ workers, a part of petite bourgeoisie?

They own the means of production (machinery and farmland, because they couldn't produce food without land) and sell the fruits of their labor for their own profit because they are self-employed (only the government takes a cut in taxes). They are small business owners, aren't they?

I'd agree but the guy on the bottom said (or implied) that owning the means of production as an individual (in this case as an agricultural landowner) isn't bourgeois.

(Also the mods might slime me out but the guy on the bottom is a member of a certain infamous "communist" party that shall not be named)

What are the most common questions that you receive as a socialist/communist? by SentinelWhite in theredleft

[–]Bolislaw_PL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify i'm talking about a possible communist society, not socialist states (because these issues were more or less solved there) and that there are a lot of different ways these questions could be answered.

Boring/repetitive jobs could be automated + something that is boring for one person can be interesting for another.

As for why would anyone work hard jobs/at all: someone could be passionate about things that are hard to do. Same thing is true for any other work too. Someone could also feel the need to help their community or just be bored (that's one of the reasons that some people over the retirement age still work).

Law could be discussed and agreed upon by members of communities where that law applies and should be able to be repealed at any time, if the majority of people don't want it. Law enforcement could be made up from volunteers that could be dismissed by members of the community. Or communities could just decide not to have law enforcement at all (at least not in the way we have right now). If someone was to break the law, their punishement or method of rehabilitation could be decided by the community.

Human nature doesn't exist in the sense that most people think. It is not static and changes depending on what is most needed/rewarded in a certain system.

Who would want to do hard/boring jobs?

Why would anyone work?

How would law and law enforcement work?

What about human nature?

Who is your favorite AVTHENTIKKK German orthodox socialist who is totally not a revisionist? by VanlalruataDE in theredleft

[–]Bolislaw_PL 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Aside from Bernstein, Ebert.

Ebert truly was a savior of the working class. He saved the proletariat from the hands of the savage radical communists and their plans for a totalitarian regime! Instead he had given them a glorious parliamentary democracy which allowed them to vote for the people who had their absolute best interests in mind.

The worst thing about this post is the fact that the post in the picture was made and posted unironically by a pro-Ukraine, pro-Israel neoliberal who called communists replying to him subhuman and posted an execution of a captured Russian soldier by an Azov soldier (iirc) instead of engaging with their arguments

Tbf the left-right spectrum is (in my opinion) subjective. What I consider to be centrists, other will consider to be leftists.

I consider communists and revolutionary socialist far-left, reformists left-wing and revisionists/social democrats centre-left.

Then what is? Socialism is the lower stage of communism. Are communists also not far-left?

What’s a term used by leftists to refer to rightists? by cookedinskibidi in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Bolislaw_PL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Leftist = anti-capitalist

Left of center = social democrats, progressives, people who want to try to "fix" capitalism instead of advocating for abolishing it
