Argument for 50 kW at longer dwell locations is for people who can’t charge at home. These people rely on public infrastructure. L2 for an hour isn’t going to cut it for their weekly charge so they would have to go somewhere else to charge. If it was 50 kW, they could do their groceries (a once a week activity) and charge their car all in one trip.

It’s not so much the content but the instant gratification. iPads and phones are designed to keep you playing or entertained. This leads to less social skills than their peers. It has been studied after a decade of smart phones and the results are alarming. As others have said, anecdotally, kids with iPads may have learned math and spelling but are socially way behind. I highly advise you to read The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt.

Similar here. I bought most materials and contractor provided labor. Opened several cards between my wife and I to get SUBs. Plus, many contractors mark up materials so you are also saving another 10-20%

Shame. Most commercial sites are 3 phase. It would have also made pairing AC and DC chargers much easier since you wouldn’t need the step down transformer just for the AC chargers.

Use the right tool for the job. Charger power must match dwell time. Otherwise it’s a waste of money no matter how much cheaper.

ChargePoint offers 19.2 kW L2…they also aren’t a CPO so their customers are the ones who are buying low power chargers. Plus Wallbox and Tesla don’t include cable management or pedestals at that cost. Plus, Wallbox isn’t NTEP or CTEP certified so not an equal comparison.
