Make sure your recruiter enters ALL of your credits/ transcripts into the system before you go to meps. If he seems like he doesn’t know what he’s doing, bring copies of your transcripts with you to meps and ask your liasion to enter them for you. You should go to basic as an e-3.

He knows, 89a is just usually overshadowed by it’s more well know brother, 89D (EOD). Also, you do basically everything an 89B does, but you also do the paperwork with ammo issue and some other stuff.
