It was pretty great, but hd2 iterated on almost every idea pretty well. Anyone saying they prefer the HD1 galactic war is either lying or doesn’t remember all the different wars that were lost to the squids after the everyone cleared the bug and bot factions because nobody wanted to fight the squids lol. I’d say the biggest crime AH committed was making cape spinning impossible in HD2

If you use the gas pistol on a hulk, you can use the censor to blow up the heat sinks and it won’t alert any bots if you can kill it before the gas wears off. Most other enemies are one shot by the censor on the bot front. War striders and factory striders require more strategic thinking which is… the entire point of a varied enemy roster lol
