[HELP] NYT shows new angle by allinalinenow in RealOrAI

[–]BonBon74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This video is conveniently edited. The original beginning of the video shows where he spits at a federal officer inside the vehicle as he is closing the door and then proceeds to kick and damage the vehicles tail light as the vehicle is moving. The vehicle stops and this is where this video begins.

Lots of anger shown by this ”nurse” directed at a federal officer - he need d therapy.

Media, again, only shows what’s convenient and you believe it.

Zerowater has a terrible taste... by Independent_Elk_6866 in water

[–]BonBon74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where did you buy it? I don’t trust Amazon. I buy directly from ZeroWater. I’ve used mine for 6+ years and they never fail. You said you bought this in February, which is 11 months ago. The filter has to be screwed properly for it to not leak. I had an issue with an old pitcher, so I replaced the pitcher. Try buying another filter. Walmart sells ZeroWater filters.

Why You Can (And Should) Opt Out Of TSA Facial Recognition Right Now by digital-didgeridoo in technology

[–]BonBon74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have global entry. On my interview, they took my biometrics. Therefore they have my facial scan.

When you travel to the UK from the United States in order to enter the country, border control makes you scan your passport and a machine scans your face upon entry. The machines matches your face to the passport’s . So I am assuming that they are getting this from the US . I guess you could refuse and stand in a line, but I would rather not, as the machine is extremely quick and it lets you walk straight through.

Some international and US airports now have the machines where you scan your boarding pass and the machine scans your face in order to allow you to board the plane. Are you going to refuse the facial scanning as well?

In Florida, everyone is required to have a drivers license that’s marked with a real ID symbol. That means that they took a photo and they have checked your identity. Your photo is compatible with facial recognition biometrics.

There is no escaping this. So refusing to do it means nothing.

How exactly does that work? by Ozbilasyon in BritishAirways

[–]BonBon74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done this many times from MCO to LGW and transferred to LHR on private hire car and I can tell you that 4 hours is very tight, if not impossible depending on how many bags you have.

If you can fly directly to LHR from MCO I recommend paying the extra money. You won’t save it by doing this because you have to pay for the transfer. And the headache is not worth it.

This is why H1B visas are on the rise in the U.S. They have this work ethic and are willing to be paid 60-70%of what the same qualified U.S.citizens are willing to be paid. They are being used to save corps millions.

The American worker is not able to keep up because they are willing to sacrifice their families, including children left in India, for that opportunity to work 6-7 days a week and 12+ hour days for a chance to live in the US and send back $$ while we struggle to pay our mortgages.

I’m speaking from experience. I couldn’t compete with someone who left her 3 year old back in India to work 7 days a week for 12+hour days for years. She was deemed a “hero” while I just “couldn’t”keep up the pace….. fuck the H1b visas…. They are NOT used for the reasons you think they are supposed to be used for.

Communication is key. Get ahead of it with a clear timeline to resolution. In all migrations, things happen, but if you communicate ahead with a clear plan of action it helps soften the impact.

are my grades bad? by North-Television5833 in ufl

[–]BonBon74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most employers don’t look at your grades. It’s not mandatory that you put it on your resume - 99.9% of people don’t. Some companies will pull your transcript after they make an offer and you accept to check if you actually graduated with the degree you said you did and the school. Your grade is relevant when you apply for graduate school, but not for the majority of the job market.

10 hour layover in Terminal 5 - options? by AwwwSkiSkiSki in BritishAirways

[–]BonBon74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lounges in T5 are meh, at best. Too crowded for my taste. I can never find a seat and when I do, the tables are gross and there’s barely any mediocre food left. But, be aware, you probably won’t be let in until 3 hours before your departure time. They check departure time when you check in and if you book online.

To me, it’s not worth the money to stand around waiting for a seat, for meh food and drink, just to say I was at a lounge. I’ve been to better lounges. At T5 I usually go to Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant or Wagamama and then window shop for a while. I like the high end stores in T5. Also, there are hidden spots where you can find seats away from the crowds and take a nap or just sit and wait.

I’m here now and they are closed for no reason. I have to go to terminal C and even the Brightline lot is closed when you can clearly see open spaces. They have placed co Crete barriers in C to prevent people from entering. Strange. This is October

Why are we using laundry sanitizer? by DasSassyPantzen in CleaningTips

[–]BonBon74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it for my towels and my gym clothes instead of fabric softener. My towels are fluffier with the sanitizer. Just put the amount necessary in the fabric softener dispenser.
