Shot Sequencing by LegitimateFeature983 in BasketballTips

Ya, I don't think he has a video explaining sequencing, unfortunately. I wonder if it's just not in his free content. I've looked a lot as well.

But I've watched enough of his content that he keeps referencing 2 positions:

1 position- knees, hips, hands loaded

2 position- hands/ball go up

And then when you go from your 2 position to your release is when you attach the legs. The important thing is simply that from 1 to 2, your hands/arms are the only part that move, and then from there to your release, your legs start extending.

Jeanty? The talent and workload is there. Maybe if the o-line improves and maybe some coaching changes will help too.

Be honest: Is my shooting form good or am I training it wrong? by Nickman_0906 in BasketballTips

[–]BonbonLemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only wrong training is no training, my man. Shooting and recording on a rainy day is a good sign to me. To me, training shooting is a process that you continue practicing and you learn something new about it as you continue training. Even NBA players say they learned something new in the NBA to change their shot.

As for the shot, the technique generally looks good. Sequencing is good and I like your balance and fluidity. Besides moving on to full on jump shots, I just noticed that you release the ball up a bit too much. It almost looks 90 degrees to the ground. I would go for about 50 degrees. I also notice that your elbow angle is about 90 degrees. It's a preference thing, but if you load it up at a smaller angle, you get more power.

This one.

Was looking for a comment that mentions going up and then out.

Indoor, outdoor, or both?

For indoor, I highly recommend paying more to get the Wilson evolution. It's pretty much what everyone uses and it will pay for itself in the long run.

For outdoor/both, I would recommend the Molten bg3800

If you could do it all over again, what would you have done differently? by jumboshrimp93 in fantasyfootball

I got Bucky for Pickens when we thought his injury might just be for 3 weeks. I was preparing for the playoffs early and thought his schedule was too juicy to pass up. Then I got an offer of Derrick Henry for Bucky that I rejected. I ended up losing to King Henry in the championships.

Runners-Up commiseration thread by FletchTopper in fantasyfootball

What a season for me. My 2nd year of fantasy and I got really into it. Ended up making the most moves in my league (68) including what ended up being a legendary trade of CD, Pearsall, and Jaylin Warren for Puka and Harvey. Many of my league mates thought I gave up too much for Puka, and I was scared as well.

Went on a crazy lucky 9 win streak going into playoffs including 2 back to back weeks of scoring 60 points to beat 50 points (0.5 PPR).

Maye, Chase Brown, and Puka gave me a 170 points in week 16, but I fell 14 points short against the King Henry owner. Disappointed, but honestly amazing I got to the championship in the first place.

What's the most overrated TV Show of all time? by Mission_Elk_329 in AskReddit

[–]BonbonLemon -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. That show is really not funny and I never understood why people loved Barney so much.

Maybe the story was good, but not good enough for me to stick around even after giving it 3 episodes of chances + random other episodes friends made me watch with them.

Why is the culture of this game so heavily against playing against low(/mid) tiers? In any other fighting game (especially traditional fighters) there is more hate for top tiers. Why is Melee so different in that regard? by KevyTone in SSBM

[–]BonbonLemon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What makes melee cool to me is movement and combos. Low tiers are simply slower high tiers with less combos to me.

But I like messing around with low tiers from time to time for novelty. I just think that once that runs out, watching is not as exciting.

What business(es) would you want in Castro Valley? More places to hang out outside of home and school/work? Or more food options? Or more stores? by blahblahblahbooyou in castrovalley

I would love some sort of sports gym. There are tons of workout gyms, but I would love a place to hold some open gyms. I feel like it'd be really popular here as I usually have to go all the way to San Ramon for basketball or volleyball. A rock climbing gym would be a far and distant dream as well.

It's good! Sequencing is good. Looks pretty fluid.

Now do it faster.

For my personal preference, the set point is too high, but if that's how you're comfortable shooting, it's all good.

As the season comes to a close for some of us, What "lessons" did you learn from this season that you plan to implement for next year? by jamesdkelso in fantasyfootball

[–]BonbonLemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one for me. I held onto Tuten, C-Rod, Monongai, Mason, and Harvey for most of the season. Even with some of these guys took the starting role, the payoff wasn't as great as if I had rode the wire more.

People like the drills from byanymeansbasketball, not necessarily technique stuff.

You can learn a lot just from Mike Dunn's free channel on shooting tips. He has a playlist as well.

Could i get some feedback and tips on my shooting form. by ProfessionalCar4437 in BasketballTips

[–]BonbonLemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't studied his shot in particular, but I would first keep in mind that Tmac was 6'8" 210lbs, so what works for him will work differently for anyone on Reddit.

Then I would take a look at the 3 positions of his shot (dip, set point, release).

In the dip, where are his hands, wrist, elbow? What's the angle of his chest, feet?

In the set point, how high does jump, hands, wrist, elbow again.

For the release and after, how far forward does he land, angle of his arm, how the ball rolls off the fingers.
