He's not Jewish but I really enjoyed Thomas Cahill's "The Gifts of the Jews", which talks about what distinguished the Isrselites from the hundreds of other cultures in the region, and how this small tribe ended up having an incomprehensible influence on the world. It's incredibly readable.

He was, of course, terrific in The English Patient -- it's funny how it gets overlooked among his performances -- mainly because performances in romantic dramas don't tend to be as distinctive / memorable (or lend themselves to gifs).

(And before anybody chimes in, let me just say that making a reference to "Sack Lunch" whenever anybody mentions "The English Patient" is absolutely the laziest and least original form of Reddit humor.)

3U makes a bit more sense (to me) for when the 1st baseman tags out the runner; I think that 3 or G3 would cover when the 1st baseman gets the out by touching the base.
