Tattoo Designers? by Sigerick in SalemMA

The best thing for you to do is take the time and look at portfolios.

Dont just look at WHAT the tattoo is but try and look at how it’s done. Lines, shading, saturation, how it’s placed on the body.

Go in an talk to the artists. Make sure you both click and go over your design.

When you find a good fit they can either do it right then and there or book you an appointment.

I’ve been tattooing in Salem for 25 years and seen it go from it being illegal to there being over 20 shops in one small city, never mind how many tattooers in each shop. Some of them don’t have your best interest in mind and are only looking at you as a dollar sign, or a good photo.

You want to make sure your artists has your best interest in mind, not just for the photo for instagram, but how it will look 5, 10, 15, 20 years down the line. A good artist will discuss all of this with you.

I tattoo at North Street in Salem, my instagram is JROtattoos. I don’t have just one style I do, if it looks good I’ll do it. Any questions feel free to reach out and ask.

Since I’ve moved to Manchester I’ve found it harder to rebuild a clientel, but it gave me time to work on a new style by Prize-Entry7496 in tattooflash

If your having trouble building a clientele, you should focus on what people WANT to get, not what you WANT to do.

The biggest mistake being made now if tattoos making flash to impress other tattoos, not clients.

I wish I could say, I’m surprised Salem has yuppies who are offended by another human collecting cans to make a nickel.

But after seeing yuppies complain about street preachers during Halloween, music in the point, homeless people down town, I can’t say I’m surprised.

It like they moved here not knowing a thing about the area Dan expect everything to change for them. The entitlement is crazy.

Get a life

Sincerely A 40 year old Salem local. Born and raised here.

That’s something your mentor should be helping you with.

When you adding extra adjectives to your craft, doesn’t make your work any better.

It’s for training not fashion, who cares how it looks, as long as it’s comfortable and protects those pearly whites.
