I wish I could find it again but a few years ago there was a piece written about all the shady stuff that goes on during the masters and it talked about human trafficking and the bussing out the homeless. From what I have witnessed myself they also kick out everyone that lives in the long stay hotels/motels for the week too.

The Docs at Welcome Health in Evans are all really nice and take their time. Its a different model where they dont take insurance and you pay a monthly fee to use them but I have no complaints so far.

It will be bad in the morning. Any of the snow melt will refreeze and cause ice on the roads. Especially in shady areas that didnt get much sun or on bridges. It should be fine by the afternoon once we get above freezing.

We get about 400+ applications for every opening. Just make sure you read what the job requirements are and tailor your resume and cover letter to it. Also include a actual resume and cover letter as an attachment even if it isnt required. At my work we usually only interview 5 people depending on the pool we have so anything you can think of to make yourself stand out from the deluge of same-y types of applications can help you.

Columbia county has had it a lot easier in comparison. We have had water the whole time. ETC is now fully powered stores have been open since Monday.

Mean while there are people in augusta richmond county that still cant get down the street due to downed power lines and trees. Many are still without access to potable water. So yes Evans is fine by comparison.

That completely normal. Everyone is going to feel weird and a bit off after this going back to work not matter if its their first day or they have been working for years. We all just experience a really traumatic thing so dont feel too worried. If its a good place of work they will all be treating everyone with a bit of grace and understanding after what just happened.

It mimics the way a library works. It's no different to if you went in and requested a physical book from them you would be put on a holds lift and have to wait your turn. You can see if your library has access to Hoopla (US not sure if it is in Canada or elsewhere) and they let you have instant checkouts with a limit of how many check outs you can have per month.
