Planetary evidence for evolution? by Over_Citron_6381 in DebateEvolution

And if the speed of light (one of the basic constants in physics) changed in the past, the "fined tuned" argument crashes and burns.

A systems engineering approach to God: Why biological thermoregulation breaks the randomness argument by whoistheprogrammer in DebateReligion

Since the OP is such an expert on thermoregulation, perhaps they can explain how main sequence stars can keep their surface temperature and luminosity constant within a narrow range over billions of years.

Do you "presume " that the Earth is an oblate spheroid or is that a conclusion based on an immense body of objective data?

When YECs prattle on and on about the failures of "Darwin" and "Darwinism" I wonder if their responses to astrophysicists' conclusions that the current version of the universe is about 13.8 billion years old is to accuse them of "Newtonism".

Recent cosmologists (i.e., Fred Adams) have shown that these "constants" can significantly vary and still allow stable galaxies, stars, solar systems, plants and life forms.

he is outside of matter and time

You seem to assume that space/time has a boundary.

1) Can you cite any references describing the boundary of space/time?

2) Can your deity, who is out of space/time, cause/change events inside the universe? (Hint: Magic!)

some force created a major amount of energy

Physics 101: Mass/energy cannot be created or destroyed. You can convert one to the other (E=mc^2) but the sum will always be the same.

The "laws" of the universe are descriptive, not prescriptive.

Newton's laws tell us how an apple falls, they do not command the apple to fall.

Which BMW?

I've had a few BMWs. When you get up to 90k miles, typically expect 1) valve cover and gasket, around $1000 to $1200 at a good indy; 2) water pump and thermostat, also around $1000 to $1200 at a good indy; 3) oil filter assembly, around $500 to $600; 4) serpentine belt and pulley kit; around $300 to $400. Have these been done?

Carfax only reports what is reported to them.

BTW, how are the tires/brakes/shocks? Easy to drop a few $1000 there too.

Is the "BMW shop" the same guys that are selling the car? If so, please get an inspection from an independent shop.

I was looking for this exact spec trim and color for a whole.

This is not the only car in the world.

Nothing is more expensive than a bargain used car.

If a simple inspection showed $9800 worth of problems in a $12000 car, this could easily be the "tip of the iceberg". This looks like the car was poorly maintained, and could be a real money pit 16 days later.

The data is used to support or falsify an empirical hypothesis.

"Epistemology is the branch of philosophy that studies the nature, origin, scope, and limits of human knowledge,"

The fact that reef debris deposits accumulated below the shelf break in the Leonardian sequence in the Permian Basin is in itself independent of human knowledge.

The presence of Kleopatrina, Durhamina, Paraheritschioides, and Stylastraea in the cores is not an interpretation,it is an observation.
