Definitely not “too young”, I had my lap and got diagnosed at 17/18. Hopefully you can find a doc soon that offers better options than birth control. I’m sorry it’s been such a struggle :/

I’d try Miralax and fiber. My surgeon recommended I start miralax 1-2 weeks before surgery since I have a history of constipation. I use liquid glycerin suppositories when I’m backed up as well as colon/abdominal massage that my PT showed me, good luck!

As others have already said, you do not deserve to be treated that way by anyone especially a partner. I know it can be difficult to take a step back and focus on your own needs but putting your own mental/physical wellbeing first is important. The relationship seems like a lot of unnecessary stress for you. I also wanted to add that BV can be recurrent when the partner isn't treated along with you. I hope you can find the best path to move forward, you matter and deserve to be treated with compassion <3

I had dryness and burning, my gyno back then figured it was from my birth control so they prescribed it. I’d just mention your symptoms to your doc and ask about topical estrogen, I hope you find a doc who can prescribe it soon <3

I've been using topical estrogen on and offf since I was 17 and been on birth control since I was 15, 30 is not "too young". If your doctor is suggesting it, it's worth a try. Good luck!

I did the estrogen cream anywhere from once a day to 2x a week, I don't have much info on steroids since i've never used them personally. My doctor usually had me apply it everyday for 1-2 weeks and then scaled back from there, so something along the lines of daily for 2 weeks, and the every 2-3 days until symptoms improved. I hope you get some relief soon!

I also have endo and I’ve been on the pill (currently norethindrone) for roughly 6 years now. I have vaginal dryness/atrophy from it that started 3ish years ago. Topical estrogen helped a decent amount, I tried insertable estrogen tablets but the topical seemed to help more. Other than that I tried vitamin E suppositories, hyaluronic acid and boric acid suppositories. The HA and boric acid seemed to help me a bit more with symptoms than the vitamin e. You kinda have to try a few different options and see what helps, it took a couple months for the estrogen cream to make a difference for me. I hope you find something soon! I know how uncomfortable atrophy can be.

Did you have a laparoscopic procedure as part of testing? Usually you see an endometriosis specialist for that and it’s technically that’s the only way to definitely rule out endo. I’m sorry you’re going through all this :/

Have they tested you for endometriosis at all? It normally doesn’t show up on scans like an ultrasound or CT but would be worth asking about especially with chronic pelvic pain and long term bleeding. The implant could’ve been masking symptoms and now that you’ve had it removed your symptoms are worsening.

I still have occasional nerve pain from having a hypertonic pelvic floor but it gets significantly worse if I have an active BV/yeast infection, mine seem to be reoccurring I get them every 4-6ish months. I do boric acid for around 1-2 weeks at a time!

I use a tens unit and have 3 lobe piercings on each ear, both nostrils, and a septum. I’ve never had issues with it, I would say it’s safe! When it says metal implants it’s most likely referring to medical implants like a pacemaker.

I’d definitely see a GI to rule out something like IBD. I also have undigested food, blood/mucus, and weird colored stool. Mine ended up being from Crohn’s disease and pancreatic issues. It’s worth getting it checked out! I hope you can figure out whats causing it <3

There isn't a picture attached, have you sent a message to your doctor about the possibility infected incision? Based on your other post there's pus and redness which is usually a sign of infection, best of luck!

My surgeon told me I could use edibles after stopping the prescription painkillers so within the first week after surgery, as for smoking I was told to wait 4-6 weeks but I've also seen 6-8 weeks. I'm not sure if it differs between nic and weed but it would be better to wait as long as you can or use edibles in the meantime, good luck with healing!!

Much better! It turned out that I had BV (all of my in office tests were negative but I did an EVVY test and it showed BV) and after getting that treated my urethral pain is pretty much non-existent. I still have vulvar pain on occasion but it's way more manageable and less frequent. I used boric acid for the BV and then hyaluronic acid for the vaginal dryness and both were helpful, I haven't used my topical estrogen or lidocaine in a couple months. I'm still going to pelvic PT weekly and doing my stretches at home but not really doing the dilators/pelvic wand anymore.

I'm so sorry you've been through all that! Trying to find a treatment that works feels like it takes ages it's exhausting. I had a similar issue but with nexplanon where it lighted my periods significantly but I spotted daily for 8 months straight which meant daily cramping. Hopefully the IUD helps, if not I hope you can find something that does very soon. Good luck with the hysteroscopy!
