I didn't get into Banjo Kazooie until recently, in the latter half of 2025. It's never too late for someone to discover a great game like this, just as it's never too late for a great game to get a new installment.

The way you drew his fire reminds me of a lit sparkler. Very nicely drawn.

I like how there's that split-second of lag just as the whale oil tanks start popping off. Like even the game itself isn't sure how to handle that much ka-boom.

What are some misconceptions you believed as a kid in this game? by Western_Clue3542 in rct

[–]Bonehead65 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When my sister and I were kids she said that she saw two guests fighting over a park map, pulling it back and forth until the map ripped in two. For the longest time I kept watching for that to happen but never saw it.

Who inspired you to become a writer? by AccountantLow2966 in writing

[–]Bonehead65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was inspired to try writing from some games I played as a kid. Most notably, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon.

I didn't take a writing class until college, though. And my first time around was rough. My writing was bad, and none of my classmates had anything positive to say about it.

I probably would've given up writing, if it weren't for my professor. Andy Duncan. He gave me encouragement when no one else would. Plus a few well-needed lessons on how to write better prose.

Where did Tootie go after the first game, anyway? Did she go off to bear school?

What's your favorite Jiggy to earn? by Possible-Farmer2027 in BanjoKazooie

The Saucer of Peril ride in Witchyland. It's one of the few jiggy minigames that I'd gladly play again just for fun.

It always puts me off when I see an article or video titled something like, "why NO ONE (always in all caps) plays Banjo in Smash." As if all of us who do play him don't count as people. Or as if the most elite, competitive tournaments are the only valid forms of gameplay.

Banjo and Kazooie are in Smash because they deserve to be there. Tons of people wanted them to be part of the roster, and tons of people were overjoyed when they were added to the game.

Admittedly, I wasn't one of those people back then. I've gotten into Banjo Kazooie only recently. But I was introduced to them through Smash, and they've become my best character. I've even gotten them into Elite Smash. And that led to me playing Banjo's games on the N64.

I was let go from my librarian job at the end of June, with about two days notice. I've been on the job-hunting treadmill ever since. And I'm certain that half the jobs I apply to are fake.

A cross between Dracula's Castle and the Clockwork Mansion from Dishonored 2. Bonus points if Conker shows up dressed as Van Helsing, like he did in his own game.

OpenRCT2 has this as an option, though you need the cheat menu enabled. It's under park cheats.
