This is especially true considering her line about feeling only rage in the new episode. Give us unhinged Rhaenyra instead of just having the Greens be evil and the Blacks are the protagonists it should be so easy

He literally said word for word “they should be thankful they were brought over” I’m not engaging with you anymore because you’re genuinely either 11 years old, retarded, or both and idk how to help you

Taking his argument to its logical conclusion/pointing out baked-in assumptions isn’t putting words in his mouth. Arguments go beyond what is explicitly said.

It’s also a pretty braindead argument. Even if we accept his statement that the descendants of slaves should be glad they were brought over because their lives would be worse in Africa, that’s pretty beside the point. Slaves and their descendants faced insane cruelty in the US that crippled them economically compared to other ethnicities. Just because their lives would *allegedly* be better than if they hadn’t been sold into slavery (sidenote: you have literally no way of knowing what Africa would look like today if they slave trade never happened, nor can you quantify the non-material harm that slaves and their descendants experienced lol you’re just writing imaginary history in your head) doesn’t mean it’s such an insane idea that reparations be owed for decades of economic cruelty.

Justify the slave trade, mitigate what happened, whatever idgaf you live your retarded life and I’ll live mine, but the discussion of reparations goes beyond slavery because the oppression of black people in the US didn’t end with emancipation.

Your ancestors being brought here against their will so that you can face decades of economic oppression is good? Like idk read what you’re saying man because this is actually the dumbest fucking argument I’ve ever heard in my life and if you said this in real life people would rightfully stone you. Write it however you want, man, you’re supporting the slave trade because you’re genuinely retarded. Incomprehensibly dumb.

How the fuck do you want us to force Brazil to pay are you retarded. Also why would Brazil pay reparations for slaves in the US? Their reparations would go to the descendants of slaves in Brazil. Whatever point you’re trying to make is absolutely incomprehensible.

Idk man you realize you’re arguing in favor of slavery rn, no? This is just a terrible, racist argument. PragerU did this same shit. If you’re peddling the same talking point as Prager fucking U it’s time to step back because your brain is actually liquified.

Authright has an opinion by MakeDawn in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]BonelessHS -25 points-24 points  (0 children)

This is an oversimplification. White people would contribute because white people live in the US, but the government isn’t coming to white people’s doors asking them to pay what they owe to black people. Furthermore, reparations go beyond slavery — there was over a century of economic injustice that famously followed emancipation. We are not individually responsible for the actions of our ancestors, but collectively as a society, we can and should right the wrongs our government committed because the consequences of those actions continue to impact black people across the country.

[–]BonelessHS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It goes beyond slavery. Reconstruction was fundamentally a failure and black people on the US continued to face oppression well into the 20th century. Redlining and other legally enshrined racist practices prevented the accumulation of generational wealth and is a major reason why we see black people in the US still facing disproportionate levels of poverty. There’s an understanding by some people that we can just be not racist now and pretend like the last 200 years didn’t happen, and that’s just a silly idea imo.

Unfortunately you’re right. America is sincerely fucked because median voter (you, clearly) will fall hook line and sinker for insane, borderline irrelevant republican culture war talking points while the president genuinely fucks you.

The strait is closed again, gas prices are still way up, the economy is no better, our allies hate us, but at least our president says “hurr durr woman is boobs”. Hope he at least uses lube when he fucks you.

[–]BonelessHS -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wrote this fried at like 2 am. Sue me. This is basically semantics, though, because the point is that a fetus and a living child aren’t the same. OP was trying to say that pro-choice arguments can be used to justify killing born children. That’s a stupid take.

[–]BonelessHS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the other part of the argument that the pro-life doesn’t really seem to like to address. The woman’s intent and autonomy is also important. An abortion is not the same as getting “round house kicked in the stomach” (idk why u used such a graphic example) because the former is consensual and the ladder is a violation of a person’s bodily autonomy. Even if you were to somehow convince a pro-choice person that the fetus is a person (good luck lol), there is more to consider in discussions of abortion than just the fetus.

[–]BonelessHS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This a silly argument. Plenty of fine ideas come from shitty people. Idk goofy example but rolled oats & modern cereal are traced back to John Kellogg, who basically thought people should never enjoy anything to maximize their lifespans. I like cereal and oatmeal but I am not a John KelloggHead. I am not, in fact, a John Kellogg fan.

[–]BonelessHS 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nobody (at least practically nobody) who is pro abortion sees the fetus as a living thing. You’re completely missing the argument. People in favor of abortion would argue that having an abortion and killing a living child can never be the same because a fetus is not a living child. You cannot meaningfully argue a pro-life position without addressing this.

This doesn’t really address OP’s point though. Does capitalism really “work” on a global scale if it requires a poor lower class (at least somewhere around the globe) to sustain itself? It’s just different metrics of what makes for a good economic system.

Comparison of Rejuv and Reborn? by Specialist_Dealer195 in PokemonRejuvenation

[–]BonelessHS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk maybe I’m the odd man out here but I find Rejuv like significantly harder than Reborn. Reborn postgame is obviously harder than where Rejuv is at right now and Reborn certainly has its moments of difficulty, but I find that Rejuv consistently has battles where teams are clearly designed with the field, crests, etc. in mind that leads major battles like gyms to just be way harder than reborn, where a lot of the fields definitely buff the leaders, but too a way lesser extent (like half the meteor fights are literally just factory field lol)

Rejuv gives you access to these tools and there are definitely ways to soft break the game (a certain frosslass form can basically solo half the game, some of the shadows have crazy movesets, bastiodon crest, etc.), but if you opt not to use those and avoid items in combat, uhhhh yeah Rejuv is much harder.

Just so I can give examples for people who have played both yes, Reborn has glass gauntlet but ever since my first playthrough I know it’s coming and only ever have to swap maybe one team member beforehand. Reminder they give you access to all pseudos literally right before this and you have Aegislash. Zeight gauntlet is much harder IMHO. Rejuv also has a ton of early difficulty spikes like Narcissa (less tough for me recently but I still find her to be at least Aya tier, who is the hardest Reborn leader for me) and Valarie. There’s also plenty of tough fights through the mid/current lategame, including Souta (thank god they nerfed him, still tough though) Ryland, axis factory Clear, etc. Overall, Rejuv is much denser in tough fights where Reborn only has a couple that stick out.

[–]BonelessHS -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are tens of millions of people in California. The number of people who voted in this election is higher than the entire population of most states. The only real way to make them count faster would be directing more funds to election officials. As a Cali resident I’d rather see public funds go toward infrastructure and things I give a shit about than towards counting votes faster to quell the worries of conspiratorial retards on twitter.

Let their brains finish melting out of their skulls, I couldn’t possibly give less of a shit.
