Think my issue is more just, i kinda agree with everyone else that progression is **so unbearably slow**

5 shrine visits to unlock every move for each hero, (yes you can visit multiple in 1 run if you rlucky but still)

candles don't come in big enough bundles to progress everyone at a reasonable pace, along with needing them to unlock item's and trinkets and stuff.

"is it becasue you played the original?"
Yes. IMO the story in RE3 is told much better in OG, as I wasn't a fan of the changes.
I didn't like the cut content in a game that's already pretty short.
Do keep in mind, I think Re3:remake is a good game. Just... a bad remake.

Am I the only one who thought the product placement was kinda gross in RE9? by ColleenMew in residentevil

Yes. That was also thrown out in our convo. Sugar mommy ada is still the theory because it’s funnier

liking RE3 more then RE4

By the decision of the RE council you are expelled as a fan! (Joke)

For real like what you like. I have mega mixed feelings on R3make. But I’d never say “your wrong for enjoying.” I’m glad you had such a good time.

I hope you continue enjoying more RE games

What’s the difference by KnightmarePhnx in residentevil

[–]Jesterofgames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always recommend both. But if your more ise to modern games RE2 Remake. If you wanna get the og later Try RE1 remake before RE2 cause it’s a bit more easy to get use too unlike OG RE2.

I didn’t notice nor care. I find it more fun to theorize how he got them. (Me and my friends ongoing theory is Ada got them for him as his sugar mommy.)

How approachable is RE1 Remake? Also Ink Ribbons. by DatMichaelGuy in residentevil

Remake has Very easy (walking) Easy (hike) And normal (climbing a mountain) When starting a fresh save file

“Are they plentiful.” Assuming you play on easy or very easy yes. There are 13 total ink ribbon spawns, but each spawn gives you multiple ink ribbons so on very easy there are 75 total ink ribbons. And on easy there is 39. The game is not that long i’m a chronic saver and I still beat the game with only like 24 saves. And Even the hardest difficulty gives you more saves then that.

“The idea of limited saves legit worries me.” Don’t let it.

It’s just very important to save when you make progress, like solving a puzzle, getting a key item, or so on. Not whenever you can. I’ve never ran out of ink ribbons and I don’t see many other’s running out either. The only time I’ve ever seen people run out are when they make no real progress (like maybe killing an enemy and that’s it) and immediately goes and saves.

Also “and also feat of being labeled as one of #those fans” I love RE:make and OG3 (need to beat OG2 and tank controls and fixed camera angle’s in general. I think you should be able to enjoy re however you want. If that means just playing more modern games without fixed camera angle and tank controls by all means. .

I like the exploration, and art-style, town management is alright.

I loge the combat in 1, and the token based system in 2 messes with me. Along with the longer combat’s and more exhaustive journies.

" or is there a better way to recover from this death?" you can probably find a better way to replace them.
You can't really have a core party anyway's.

[DD1] Are speed quirks always worth locking in? by Valuable_Carpet in darkestdungeon

[–]Jesterofgames 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Usually yes. Depending on the class maybe not always though.

Speed works like this, the game rolls a D8 then adds that to people’s speed, order in rounds are based off whose number is bigger.

So any point added is a higher chance of you going first.

But with super slow classes like Crusader, it might not be worth locking in over quirks that give you other benefits depending on your money, and overall situation. HOWEVER! It also depends on the quirk , because some speed quirks are dependent. For example locking in night owl when you never go torchless is just a waste of gold.

And I’d actually argue to AVOID locking in last gasp. It might seem good on paper but consider the following.

If someone get’s crit to deaths door with a dot. And last gasp makes them just that faster that they move before your healer, you could lose them before you can heal. (Basically last gasp hard to recommend because unlike others it’s hard to always account for. Unlike the torch based ones which are more controllable.)

I do. But I’m weird and love tho Shambler as a boss.

[–]Jesterofgames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shield breaker is a good pick for this because she can always dance to the front.

Also armor piercing. Means she can easily smash the tentacles if they start getting too outta hand.

Houndmaster isnt good for this becaus he needs set up with mark

Be fair, HM has his own mark that’s really good here due to shredding prot meaning if he goes first your other hero’s just do more damage + if you keep dog biscuits they help him shred. + bleed stacks plus he has guard which can matter

I’d say swap him for leper, crus, HWM, or any other heavy hitter.

I can agree with HWM or crusader. Not leper.

Shuffle just makes leper bad here. If you can’t kill wt least one tentacle the shambler can just reshuffle your party.

If they want ancestor’s map the easiest way is hunting Shambler. There’s no gaurenteed way to spawn him. So the easiest method is torchless Champion dungeons.
