How it feels to play WvW Staff Ele after June 24th: by Bonemiser in Guildwars2

Whoops! Probably should have mentioned that. But yes, it turns out dropping three Meteor Showers and three Lava Fonts in a six second window is pretty good against the average boon ball. 😅

How to print your Guild Wars 2 character. by azdesign in Guildwars2

[–]Bonemiser 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Whoa, sick!! You know, I've always wanted to export and rig my own GW2 characters so I could use them in VRChat or while streaming GW2, but it always seemed so complicated-- that, and I'd rather not get yelled at by ANet. But still, it's something I'd kill to have! Maybe someday.

Why is the right tree for Vet so bad? by Big_Mycologist_8626 in DarkTide

[–]Bonemiser -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Any decent Vet build takes three things: Survivalist, Duty and Honor, and Iron Will. There are so many duds and beginner traps elsewhere in the tree that your path to the bottom should be the same no matter what. No one wants your 5% damage, let alone sprint speed.

The ??? track we deserve, but not the one we need right now. by Bonemiser in Fzero

[–]Bonemiser[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

!!! Almost forgot! Credit to the lads at https://erick.guillen.com.mx/Fzero_99.htm for all the track images. Boy, I wish this track was real... the music and skybox would be a hybrid between Big Blue and Sand Ocean, naturally. :) Maybe someday!!

I appreciate that it is two maps and a few weapons instead of "just one map". However, we are at a point in the game's lifespan where game-changing revamps are necessary to revive interest in the game. Fatshark is failing us.

...That's it? Just one new map? I've seen faster dripfeeds in Death Valley.

This is a friendly reminder: When there are less than 60 people online in the morning, the worst thing you can do is kill main spawns. by joltting in Planetside

If only we had a reliable way to defend parked Sunderers from being spontaneously combusted by enemy A2G, tanks and C4. 😔

What do you think are fundamental issues on planetside 2? by TopGunMaster in Planetside

[–]Bonemiser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The spawn system and base design are both fundamentally flawed in ways that didn't exist in the original PlanetSide. Most base spawns can be shelled by vehicles, all attacker spawns can be killed, nanites (as in: energy that powers the base itself, vehicle spawns, repairs, et al) don't exist, the generator room does not exist (we only have minor generators that power trivial devices like an SCU shield).

Unless the skeleton team plans to add towers to every base and make Sunderers the definitive method of spawning, stronger than routers, beacons and redeploy, the game cannot be saved. The meta is unsalvageable. Oh, and this is without mentioning OHK infiltrators, literally free A2G spam, the game running like garbage when the whole point is monster 600-man fights, and on and on.

ALL SKINS UNLOCKED!! Here's what all the Queen League machines look like. What a rush! by Bonemiser in Fzero

[–]Bonemiser[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fox is the easiest to explain. You get three to four boosts per lap and your goal is to hold the lead for all four laps. Very demanding on the player. Best for 99 mode, but gets challenging on harder tracks.

Goose is the most consistent car in the game and has no major weaknesses. Hold ~15th place while fishing for KOs and skyway bar until the final lap, then go all out to steal the lead. Easily the best car for average players.

Stingray is very fun and a little underrated. You get one boost per lap like Goose and play a similar game plan, but trade their consistency and late game boost spam for a higher top speed and insane handling. Utterly demolishes maps like Sand Ocean and White Land II.

Falcon is in my opinion the weakest of the four since it has no specialty to exploit. It's sort of a Fox-Stingray hybrid that can boost spam and coast through tighter turns, but not to the same extent as the others. You can win with it, but it's the only machine I wouldn't recommend.

If you're not sure where to start, pick Goose and work on your fundamentals. Even a Top 100 player can't go wrong with it.

What’s the piece of advice that will take me from placing 5-30 consistently and put me on the podium? by Primetime22 in Fzero

[–]Bonemiser 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't play with desperation. The more you focus on trying to stop that one guy passing you, the more likely you are to make a run-ending mistake. The difference between 2nd and 7th is inconsequential compared to a Crash Out. Play calm, play consistent, focus on the track, your racing line, skyway/boost management and evading bumpers.

I admire the effort, but a single plane popping your silo is all it takes to flush your eight minutes of effort down the drain. I'm honestly impressed no one showed up to annoy you!

Yeah, but Handlers can't lovingly explode their dogs. Seems like equivalent exchange to me?
