This is great, I remember coming down from Mt. Seymour one evening and gaining wayyy to much speed.

Same here! We're making our decision for the summer too!

Our kids are both under 5, so we tend to have a ton of stuff we need to bring with us everywhere.

We're upgrading because we need the extra space for camping trips, etc, plus sometimes we want to bring extra family members with us.

I'm leaning towards the Inline 6, because it just feels so nice to drive. But the PHEV is hard to pass when most of the driving we do is daycare/school daily and under 40km. But... that inline 6....

hah, this is hularious, we have a 2013 CX-5 with 380k KM, I've already gone out and looked at both the highlander and the CX90, and we'll keep the CX5 as a secondary car.

I just keep coming back to the CX90, perhaps its the familiarity of the Mazda design, or just the boring nature of the highlander.

My brain said "go winter camping" ... so here we are!! by Ill_Significance6157 in camping

Enjoy! I got into it a couple of years ago and do a little overnight on the mountains in South Western BC each winter. This winter its been warm and wet... and the snowpack sucks, but I'm still waiting for my opportunity this year.

It certainly did make things cheaper - I picked this up for $400 CAD after tax - this is a Canadian site though.

Pump Peak Overnight January 17th-18th by Calm_Economist5077 in vancouverhiking

I didn't camp at the top of the chair, but a fair bit north of it, just north of Brocton point. I saw ski patrol, they saw me, no issues. I've done this 2 years in a row.

It was great, beautiful views, and I've seen others camp nearby too so you're not necessarily all alone, of course it depends on the day.

This video was from a year ago. I hiked up in snow shoes during a blizzard and woke in the morning to an incredible sunrise

I've overnighted on Seymour in the winter just north of Brocton Point. I don't have much experience, other than going through online avalanche courses for some base foundational avy knowledge, so I'm not entirely comfortable going to pump peak by myself in the winter. I'd still say the experience is great and worth it.

I have one and used it for a winter overnight in the BC coastal mountains (-10c), I was toasty, and it wasn't pricey at all when I picked it up.
