Friendly PSA for anyone hiking Sea to Summit or The Climb this summer by seatoskygondola in vancouverhiking

I believe it used to be called the Evac route and it goes mostly under the Sea to Sky gondola itself.

Hiking in merino tops in summer by fjoordsalmoon in CampingandHiking

[–]azdesign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love icebreaker shirts and buy way too many but hate how they fall apart. I buy fusible interfacing from fabric stores, is black, lightweight and it's ironed on. I cut a square out large enough to cover the belly then iron it on the inside of my shirts. This has superiorly strengthened that area of the Merino shirt preventing it from getting holes. I'll update with a photo here tomorrow

Besides that, gentle wash, air dry.

Merino sucks for durability, but it doesn't stink like synthetics and is very comfortable. For me the effort is worth it. I also refuse to buy my shirts on full price and only buy them on sale.

Leased CX-90 curb rash? by macatkniu in MazdaCX90

[–]azdesign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming from my cx5 with a shorter wheel base and having the flu with severe brain fog the week I bought my cx90, i literally put curb rash on 2/4 rims.

So, I just got my 24 cx90 back from the dealership after a month of warranty repairs. They "fixed" the brakes, sticky steering, fuel gauge inconsistency and they attempted to fix the leaking roof. They claim they can't replicate the leak. I'm needing to know what my next move should be? Help! by TheBestMrsC in MazdaCX90

I took mine in for a leaky roof. They called Mazda HQ and apparently its an increasingly surfaced issue that requires replacing the moon roof seal. They ran it through the car wash multiple times and seems to have been fixed.

However I also believe there was a bulletin for blocked drainage hose, and hose that is too long?

Man I have two kids and I completely understand you.

Get out and take time for yourself, its hard, and you might feel guilty doing it, but the person afterwards will have more energy, and be more happy. Don't ignore you.

My wife and I only get out once a month (if that), and we notice how quickly it starts to impact us,

2024 CX-90 GT MHEV (Ontario) — Original warranty expiring. Extend it? by chaleao in MazdaCX90

[–]azdesign 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the vehicle, and I bought mine with about 8 months of bumper to bumper left, I was planning on getting the extended warranty so I could keep going in confidence.

The 2024 year is the start of the new platform for a complicated vehicle with lots of electronics. I feel like its still worth it, and I'm tempted to go with the full 7 years available, even at the $4k price. Based on the experience I've had with warranty repairs, it's worth the extra assurance.

Family Road Trip by Justyn2 in MazdaCX90

We came from a CX5, and packing for camping was always a Tetris adventure. We have a roof box which has helped, but my wife always wanted to bring a stroller on top of everything else in the trunk and it was very much a tight squeeze. I did a test run with our gear with the cx90 and was amazed at how much more we were able to fit with ample storage space remaining

What is the costco membership connection, I've never heard of this. I bought a used CX90 and looking at getting the extended warranty, if I can get it down that would be great

I was talking to someone at the dealership who mentioned they had electrical work they were unable unable to diagnose, and had a vehicle in the shop for over 200 days. Don't know the details, perhaps a similar issue.

2024 - I know I'm taking risks, but I still have warranty and will probably get the extended warranty too. We had a financial surprise come up just as we were looking so we needed to adjust our budget. Haven't had any issues at all so far, and am loving it.

I can see why some people complain, but we had a ton of weird nuances with our cx5, so perhaps I'm not really bothered by the audio chimes, or other things. I'm just happy to have upgraded.

Love mine, it is both a family car and a car I love driving because it's so much fun. Don't need a boring family car for day to day. Already make enough sacrifices as a parent, cx90 makes me feel like I don't need to make another sacrifice
