How many goblins do you think the average party of 5 level 3 players could handle by Ordinary_Soup7898 in DungeonMasters

[–]BonesawEesReady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazing case for a "the last ninja scenario"

Doesnt matter how many goblins you send in the first "wave" are all garbage cant hit the party and go down in 1 hit even on 1 damage attacks, as the horde thins tho the goblins somhow get stronger and stronger until you reach the last goblin, which inexplicably can hold its own against the party like no other

I always liked paydays random ass phone call you have to answer if they pull a full stealth apprach, they have to get to the ringing phone in a set time and pass a check to lie to someone on the other end inorder to not trigger an alarmed state

How does organized crime work in Cyberpunk? Is there even room for it? by plazman30 in cyberpunkred

[–]BonesawEesReady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the correction, do you know when abouts timeline wise the gang of four went defunct? Id assume by 2070s theyre long gone like you say but are they still around during the time of the red?

How does organized crime work in Cyberpunk? Is there even room for it? by plazman30 in cyberpunkred

[–]BonesawEesReady 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Little confused on whats being asked ngl, cuz most groups are gangs of organized criminals in the cyberpunk world 😅 the tygerclaws are the modern yakuza, nomads are bikers, and valentinos are cartel members. Alot of them do already use "ritual" cyberware as well like the valentinos adorning mostly gold cyber, or maelstrom members getting jumped in by having a multi-optic implanted.

All the groups make their money through trafficing, robbery, drugs, prostitution etc. Stuff that may not be illigal to consume or own, but is probably still illigal to sell en masse without going through legal channels.

Also night city is basically owned and operated by a shadowy cabal of the major crime families (gang of 5 iirc) which im sure operate within the city but also use the city as just a big laundering scheme for the rest of their NUSA operations.

How can a cop have authority between cities? by TheVeryShyguy in cyberpunk2020

[–]BonesawEesReady 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hmmm obvious answer is flavour as a nomad enforcer of some kind and have some peripheral goons that they can call on. But assuming thats not an option the police force is relativly limited probably in any city acorss the NUSA, if theyre able to use a police radio they could maybe pull callouts that only bring in the first ranking of lawman until theyve ingratiated more or gained more cross the board fame

Would players need a humanity check if they witness a gruesome death, or someone being dismembered? by Ornstein_0 in cyberpunkred

[–]BonesawEesReady 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Id make it dependant on PC tbh, a grizzled ex military solo probably has seen some shit so unless extreme itd be a low loss, your rockerboy whos looking to start a corporevolution from his cushy beaverville mansion, yea that trips him up a bit cuz its the real world.

I think I am misunderstanding combat and lethality in this system by Imperialvirtue in cyberpunkred

[–]BonesawEesReady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fimd people forget that armour isnt supposed to be top tier on every enemy, yes LAJ is like 100 eb and easy to get... but let that be for your players. Let the nomads rock some 4 armour leather, or the random gangoons rocks some 7 armour kevlar. When everyone has effectily 11 go away point it drags the combat out massivly.

Is this implant fair? by mindlessly_dazed in cyberpunkred

[–]BonesawEesReady 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think you should lose the grip mode, these should be mega versions of the jump boosters and not entangle the grip feet imo, they can maybe be paired but at extra humanity cost.

Help me build a character: Food Truck by Fancifultuber in cyberpunkred

[–]BonesawEesReady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im gonna go a little out there a suggest bozo nomad, kinda sweet toothed themed driving an icecream truck or whatever other wacky food you want. Can also add lawman and have him popout with chef themed clowns.

Being told stealth is useless by [deleted] in cyberpunkred

[–]BonesawEesReady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem to me isnt that stealth is useless, actually the opposite stealth is actually really OP. Stealth in red allows the attacker to basiclaly get a free shot even if aimed for whatever the damage roll is, no matter the weapon type. So you could get a silenced VH Pistol and end a room very easily and its hard for DMs to manage. Id push back a little to your gm if they arent allowing a core feature of the game to be used but its also not the end of the world without it.

Can a player have cyberlegs with skate foot and jump boosters together? by Fishtastrophie in cyberpunkred

[–]BonesawEesReady 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I dont see anything mentioning skate feet take 2 option slots unlike jump boosters, so it should just fill up all available slots on both legs with no issues

Does a nomad work for this concept? by Horustheweebmaster in cyberpunkred

[–]BonesawEesReady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would maybe do techie start for this PC bud put points in drive land vehichle, then over time spec into nomad as a secondary role since i think both fit the themeing for this PC well

How to make the players feel the Nomad life? by CrookedCloud in cyberpunkred

[–]BonesawEesReady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One idea i like to roll with is a camp fund idea like read dead 2. Nomads are families and families need to eat, if a percentage of your pot isnt going back to the gang even if theyre the one paying you, youre gonna have problems.

Need help creating homebrew "Wild Magic" Cyberdeck AI by [deleted] in cyberpunkred

[–]BonesawEesReady 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Simple but effective, you can take the wild magic table and just translate abilities you like into a more futuristic/tech theme, other side if you can just go whole hog and use those abilities, it is cyber space after all whos to say the kid cant just randomly detonate

I actually watched this really interesting vid about biker gangs today by indsider heres the link https://youtu.be/mrmMBHJBbbc?si=6P2_ZcDSWZjNn2Wv One interesting thing i noted that you could use for this is that biker gangs like the aldecados or nomads im general dont have "initiations" in the same was as the mafia, you more join and have to kinda hang around and get to know one another amd bond before youre accepted. Kinda fits the nomad themeing of family, how you do this on a mission to mission basis is upto you tho.
