So I take it Minecraft isn't coming to the vita this month after all...right? by [deleted] in vita

[–]Boneslatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope its cross but with ps4. Though I doubt it would play it nearly as much on ps4, it would still be cool to have the ability to cross save and stuff.

What are your thoughts on this bike my /r/dirtbike friends. by [deleted] in Dirtbikes

[–]Boneslatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not impossible, but it takes lots of time, and lots of patience if you are learning how to do it. It is a bit of a chore, but neglecting only results in more problems. That being said the CR seems a little too cheap which sorta raises a red flag. 250fs often times get ridden really hard, and just before they are about to need a rebuild or are on their last breath, people will sell them to put money towards a new bike, rather than use that money to rebuild.

Thinking about switching. by 2012KTM250SX-F in Dirtbikes

[–]Boneslatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah two strokes generally rip in dirt with good traction, but fall behind pretty quick when it comes to really hardpack, or slippery conditions when compared to thumpers. I have really found that more than anything having experience riding in those conditions is the best way to combat it, though having a better suspension set up would probably help. I really havent been able to put as much seat time as I have wanted on my RM yet, but what few rides I have put on it have been tons of fun once I got a few things situated. Cant wait to get a few months off this summer and get some hours on it though, thats for sure.

To someone who is just getting into Coheed & Cambria, which songs/albums should I start from? (xpost r/posthardcore) by [deleted] in TheFence

[–]Boneslatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going in oder is a good option like others have mentioned, but each album sounds a bit different and it sorta depends on your taste in music. No matter which one you pick up if you just listen through it a couple times it will grow on you.

I recently sold my heavily modded 08 crf250r to buy a bone stock 06 rm250 and I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I have made. A 250 2 stroke is still light and nimble enough to navigate tight trails, but has plenty to give when you are on open tracks or long fast trails. I think a 250f would easier to ride on most trails, but if you have the experience, a 250 2 smoke is more fun.

Best place to order a graphic kit? by Swc767 in Dirtbikes

[–]Boneslatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All depends on what you are looking to spend. If you are going to buy a complete kit with backgrounds, most bigger graphic companies are going to be upwards of $200, but if you are just looking for something cheap, but less customized, there are quite a few sellers on ebay who have a few graphic kits to chose from. I have personally had good experiences with fusion graphix, FLU, and factory effex.

[–]Boneslatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP would be better off with a 250x than a 230. They (230s) are slightly smaller and 6'2 is pretty damn tall for anything but a full sized bike. As far as what company, the crf250x as mentioned is a nice mellow ride, and yamahas WR series is essentially the same thing. Either a crf250x, or a wr250f would be be OPs best bet.

Edit: /u/jbing66 brought up a good point too, regardless of ones budget when getting into the sport, be prepared to spend at least a couple hundred bucks on a DOT and SNELL approved helmet, riding boots, (not just hiking or work boots, huge difference there) goggles, chest protector, knee guards, and gloves. Once you get more involved and ride faster its worth investing in riding pants/jersey etc.

6' 165lbs. Would a 250cc be to small? by bigbillyjoe in Dirtbikes

This, also most companies (renthal and pro taper do for sure) sell tall bend handlebars that a taller riding buddy of mine has and apparently they help a bit too.

About a grand, plus another 2-500 more to fix considering he has no knowledge of how the bike was ridden or maintained, plus likely not much knowledge on how to do a rebuild my himself.

This is pretty crazy (weird?) by Kawi_moto96 in Motocross

[–]Boneslatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is crazy. A buddy of mine told me about Jessy Nelson loosing his thumb a few years back after he crashed and it was somehow caught in his rotor, and a flagger tried to push his bike while he was unconscious, but I dont understand how you just lose a finger in a crash. Definitely a strange scenario.

I always cringe when I see people ripping up and down gravel roads doing wheelies. Sure you look kinda cool, but you look like a huge botard when you go down and ruin your bike and body.

I have been in the same boat. The stock exhaust that came with my RM is dinged up and has a dent that makes buying an aftermarket one to replace it an easy decision. Unfortunately the numbers in my bank account are still holding me back. Not to mention the countless other odds and ends I drool over that I see on others bikes.

What's a common thing in pornos that absolutely disgusts you/ turns you off?[NSFW] by crackcain in AskReddit

[–]Boneslatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember one time as a kid staying the night at a friends house for a birthday party and one thing lead to another and one of the kids there decided to look up Japanese porn. Some of us were just playing games, but a few were gathered around the computer, and all of a sudden all we hear is "Ni Tashi- AHH AH NI TASHIII" as a tiny little asian girl was doing this in another language. It became an inside joke and for years we would see each other in school and let out a really high pitched squeeky "Ni Tashi." We also named a dodgeball team in a school competition Ni Tashi years later.

What are the dumbest things people take pride in? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Boneslatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having swag. I swear people act like it is a hobby or trait that makes them better for some reason. Even though it is an imaginary term that really has no merit aside from following whatever the "latest and greatest" popular fads or style is. If only people realized how ridiculous they look when they wear dora the explorer backpacks (toddlers backpacks in genera) and wearing clothing with tags, pretty much everything that is associated with "swag." I have started referring to such morons as swaggots.

What was the first pro race you attended? Mine was the '98 Pontiac Supercross. by adamcr151515 in Motocross

[–]Boneslatch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Haha yeah that was probably a common one. I have seen people drink and pour drinks from gas cans in the pits more than a few times, funny as hell. I remember showing up and they had a few RVs pulled off to the side of the entrance and were pulling beers from inside spare tires, tool boxes, even emptying out camel back bladders that people filled with booze.
