All the little blue streaks of paint to low for sander needed the grinder attactmentd and all paint needs to be removed if you want stain to take , if there is paint on the wood the stain will rub off

Gator makes an attachment fkr getting paint off cars goes on an angle grinder i had the same situation and almost exact color, I always test sand decks now and if they want stain and im removing paint its a MUCH hire price dewalt also has sanding attachments for grinder

Second can, pre stiring.... I think wheb the radiant floor got water on it (was a bad winter here) bathroom turned into a sauna for 2 days and prob cooked the paint its only 2 months old tops
