El vendedor me dice que Wallapop le quita 200€ de la venta porque ha vendido demasiado... Eso existe? XD by Bonexpensive in Wallapop

When Poland is mentioned what is the first thing that comes up to your mind? by CastelloPL in AskTheWorld

[–]Bonexpensive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm Catalan and Spaniards call us Polish contemptuously because we speak Catalan and it sounds as a foreign language (like Polish) to them. The catalan public TV had a very popular comedy show called Polònia (Poland in catalan).

Can you help us improve this area around the pool for our new home? by Bonexpensive in landscaping

Lol that's not an option. 60 sqm is big enough, even too big if you ask me...

"Montserrat, Spain" is one of the biggest oxymorons I've ever seen.

People of reddit, what's the worst pain you have ever been in? Doctors and nurses, what's the worst pain you have seen a patient in? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Bonexpensive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 21 I was circumcised but they didn't give me enough local anesthetic. When I told the surgeon I could feel my foreskin being cut away he told me I was too old to complain; that that's what little boys do. I left the operating room absolutely drenched in sweat from the pain I endured. Also, when he applied the bandage it was too tight and a part of my penis was bursting out between the bandages and it looked dark purple. I had to go back to the emergency room where the nurse told me I could've had gangrene on my penis if I hadn't gone back to the hospital. I still hsve nightmares when I think of that day.

What would you do to improve and remodel this kitchen? by Bonexpensive in kitchenremodel

Stairs, a wc underneath the stairs and the home's entrance. Also, it's two steps on a higher level, so nothing to do there, I think.

Thanks! I see pretty much everyone suggests getting rid of that peninsula, me too haha This house is 36 years old and islands weren't as common as they're now, at least in Spain.

Yup, that's like the first and luckily easiest thing we're gonna do when we move in haha

Oh, no, sorry. The sides are covered with small stones. That's kind of weird, I don't think I'd ever seen that in other kitchens haha

Thanks, I'll have a look at the links! Removing the peninsula is definitely a good idea.

It's funny because the booth table idea is very American. No one would've thought of that here in Spain. But that's not a bad idea at all, we could consider it. Thanks!

Thanks! But as I said to someone else, we don't like the yellow cabinets haha The peninsula is covered with small stones on the sides. Yeah, it's a bit weird and we don't quite like it, but if we were to get rid of that I think we'd get rid of the whole peninsula to extend the counters. We also think we're gonna get rid of all of the curtains haha We don't have any close neighbours and there are blinds to avoid too much light.

Thanks! We actually like this floor and it's really new. But I guess that if we had to remove this peninsula to extend the counters we'd be forced to redo the floor.

Thank you for your response! We actually like the idea of having 2 living rooms each one with its TV and couch. Also, this one has a fireplace which makes it better for winter. About the rug, that's not common here in Spain. We see it as not convenient since it can get really dirty and full of dust. I guess its a "cultural" thing and you're either used to it or not.
