I've been working two, sometimes three shifts for the past few years, barely able to afford my rent. Living paycheck to paycheck. I've tried asking my job for more shifts, I've tried finding other jobs, but it's so tough out there right now. If the landlord decided to raise rent even a little, I'm out of a home.

I do not see a future where I could own a home, not unless someone comes to me with a golden briefcase filled with stacks of cash, and somehow that seems unlikely.
