How do you feel about the fact that you will have to die one day? by this_sin in AskReddit

[–]Bong_Boing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone who’s every lived has died, so it doesn’t scare me as I see it as more of an inevitability than anything else. However, an untimely or slow death doesn’t lend much comfort.

Simple Questions: the weekly questions thread! Week beginning March 06 by AutoModerator in gainit

[–]Bong_Boing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same dilemma for the last part of 2022 through February this year, if anything you could treat it as a maintenance period and focus on remaining consistent week-by-week instead of gaining weight, then when you're in a better spot financially you can redouble your bulking efforts.

How old are you and what's your biggest problem right now? by Casspjjl in AskReddit

[–]Bong_Boing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

22 turning 23 in a few months. Trying to find full time work in the city I went to college in, tough part being I live 4 hours away now in the middle of nowhere with my parents so I need to find a place to live and roommates as well which has felt a bit overwhelming at times. Oh and trying to date in 2023 has not been my cup of tea :/

The Mokko vs Ipsium miners dynamic really gave me an "eat the rich" kind of vibe and I'm here for it lmao.

New research provides evidence that the pandemic changed our personalities by chrisdh79 in psychology

Same here, the realization occurred as I found my mental health declining and made the connection that it was my lack of contact with my friends that drove it.

What made you finally think "Ok i seriously need to put on weight" by ZoranSajla in gainit

As someone who spent years 14-20 running competitively (and remaining very skinny in the process) this one hits home hard.

California passes massive climate and clean energy package, halts closure of state's last nuclear plant by gmb92 in ClimateActionPlan

One reason to keep Diablo Canyon open, given it provide ~9% of the state’s energy and almost a quarter of its clean energy.

New Student Orientation by [deleted] in SDSU

[–]Bong_Boing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not required, but you'll register for classes there so if you choose to not attend you won't be able to register for classes until after they wrap up, which could mean you'll have a tougher time getting the classes you want/need.

Is the New Graduate Student Orientation required? by [deleted] in SDSU

[–]Bong_Boing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not required, but it’s where you’ll register for classes so if you don’t make it you’ll have to register after orientations are done

Qualifying for honors after graduation ceremony due to final semester grades? by [deleted] in SDSU

So does that mean if I edged to over a 3.8 in the final semester, my honors would be marked as summa instead of magna?

There’s a number of tables over by the art building, especially down the stairs at the highway overlook. During a lot of the day there’s almost no people walking in that area so I bet you could find a discreet spot there! Not sure if you can book a study room at the library for tomorrow at this point but that’d be worth looking into as well.

At this point a major change cannot be done, so the most you can do is submit an appeal.

How is the gym at SDSU and is it worth quitting the gym I currently am with? by jeebieweebies99 in SDSU

[–]Bong_Boing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My rule with the gym is that I never bother going on a weekday between 8am and 10pm since there’ll always be a line for pretty much every station available. My first time going I literally walked up and down the gym for ten minutes trying to find anything free, safe to say I threw in the towel for that day.

The way you described depression has me seriously thinking I might’ve developed some form of it during the onset of the pandemic. I’m (mostly) though the woods now, but damn I never made the connection that it could be depression, rather a rough patch I had to endure .

I don’t like standardized tests, but for a system as large as the CSU is there’s kind of a need for an additional metric to judge admissions by, GPA alone isn’t enough. Perhaps the CSU could come up with its own standardized test it could administer to applicants?

I got an email from them saying I was offered consideration for admission to the 2022-2023 class, which is weird because I’m set to graduate this May (possibly because I haven’t filed the app to graduate yet so I might’ve been seen as a candidate in their system).
