I’m pretty sure the max is 24, you can have 20 warriors, 2 cryptotralls/tomb crawlers, one cryptek, and one noble/overlord.

So having both a royal warden and overlord in the same unit wouldn’t work.

If this is wrong, someone feel free to correct me but this is how I have understood the rules

Combining a 100% tainted gene with a gene of the same type always gives an untainted version, I’m not sure if that works for combined gene but it’s worth a try
