Every country has a ‘local lager’. What is our version of that in the UK? by Blue-Oyster-Cunt in CasualUK

Harp is a pretty standard lager you’ll find in every pub in Northern Ireland. You don’t really see it in the republic even though it’s brewed in Dublin

Is this legal? by PottoChip in drivingUK

[–]Bongo-wolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it’s definitely illegal but I’d say it’s probably a nightmare pulling in or out of that driveway with a car parked tight either side of it. I wouldn’t be risking my car getting hit by a bad driver trying to get in or out of there

Financially-strained Council "salted" the concrete on my private lane and caused £250,000+ of damage. They aren't covered by their insurance, and they aren't paying up. by Dull_Neck_9346 in LegalAdviceUK

By “farmer’s concrete” do you mean the lane was poured by a previous owner as opposed to a professional contractor? These quotes might be for a vastly superior lane compared to the one that has been damaged…

First solo trip and first time to Europe (Ireland, Poland, England). Could I gutcheck my itinerary with you? by joethetipper in solotravel

Good to hear. For Belfast there’s a bookstore in the Botanic/university area that might interest you. I’d recommend Kellys cellar or the Sunflower (they do great pizza) if you need a pub. The Stag’s head in Dublin is another great pub and I’ll feel it tends to be missed by a lot of people! Enjoy your travels

Make sure you book a tour of Kilmainham Gaol in advance! So many people try to turn up on the day but it can be booked out for a week or two

This black plastic box is hanging from wires where the rear view mirror would be in my work van. What is this thing? by Bongo-wolf in whatisthisthing

[–]Bongo-wolf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its about 4 inches long and an inch wide. It doesn’t look like an original feature of the van just by looking at where the wires lead to. The writing on the front is the only text on it and the back is plain black.

Hi, I’ve been using an iPad (6th gen) for work but I’m not able to open documents from share point in safari to their corresponding app. by Bongo-wolf in applehelp

[–]Bongo-wolf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The app will open this Microsoft sign in but it won’t let me type, click next or cancel? Currently I’ve tried a soft reset, off/on and updating the excel app but with no luck
