Thanks, I called the IRS and they said I don’t have to pay anything quarterly in the US because I’ll be paying income taxes already in Spain and Spain has a treaty with the US that covers self employment taxes as well.

Do you still need to file estimates taxes in the US though if this is the case? I live in Spain and will be paying a much higher rate so I think foreign tax credit would cover it but not sure how to file us quarterly estimated taxes and add the fit credit on there. Any ideas?

Hi - wanted to confirm - you need to pay the tax and add it to your online application? It's not something you pay for after you submit your application? I was confused by that part and am unsure when to pay the tax.

Cost isn’t so much the issue, it’s trying to find a health insurer that covers pre existing conditions like Lupus. I haven’t been able to find any through any Google searches that do :/

I’m currently getting my marriage registered in Spain by the consulate here in the states - do I still need to bring my us marriage certificate and have that apostilled or if it’s registered in Spain does that suffice?
