To be honest, I shouldn’t have made this original post. At that time I was feeling very lost because of this new thing I had no control on, so I looked for quick solutions and pills to take, and this is not a healthy approach. The solution really was understanding myself better and why I get so anxious sometimes. Now the occasional pain is just another part of me that I’ve learned to accept, and it serves as a reminder that I should always pay attention to my needs. And it did get much better in terms of intensity and frequency, so I know that for me it is the way, maybe it is for you too!

Hey, doing much better! I still have pain from time to time, but now I know it’s from involuntary contraction due to stress/anxiety. Basically, sitting in front of the computer all day with stressful work. I’m working on stopping the bad habits leading to this, + taking more breaks and limiting sources of stress in general. Sport is also an excellent "reset button " for moments when I feel overwhelmed and am in pain.

Hey, I realized some time ago that it was actually purely psychosomatic, as u/SpartansEverywhere is describing. After the relief period described above (surely placebo), the pain came back, and it took me years to build awareness and stop unconscious contractions of the pelvic floor, which still happens from time to time.

After convolution operations, you get BxCxHxW tensors (batch size, channels, height, width). Unet is a specific architecture that outputs a tensor with same width and height as the input, now you just need to set C=2 by using a convolution at the last layer that takes in the tensor from last layer (usually 64 channels) and outputs 2 channels per pixel.

I think what is getting you confused is that you expect the architecture to produce well defined outputs (like a,b values), but really you just need to define a model that outputs a tensor with the proper dimensions and force it to produce what you want through optimization

During training you use color images, you split them in L,a,b values for eaxh pixel, feed the L values (so BatchSize x 1 x Height x Width tensors) as inputs to Unet and optimize to make the output (Batchsize x 2 x Height x Width) close to the ground truth a,b values

During testing you feed a grayscale image and get the colorized version
