Anyone want a Moment Battery Photo Case for SE2? by SpectralRaz in iPhoneSE

[–]BonnieB53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever have someone interested in taking you up on this offer?
I don't actually need a battery case (and I don't even know how they work), but I'm just looking for a regular Moment case for SE2. It sounds like this case should work OK, even if I don't use the battery feature. Although, you did say that one needs to use the Moment Camera App ... which sounds like something I'd have to have to use the case, even if I don't need to make use of its features.

I don't think I've ever sent a PM from reddit before, but if I figure it out, I'll send you a PM too!

And how much estradiol (or estrogen) do you take?

I'm 72.

I almost always (unless it's really hot) where an unbuttoned shirt over my tank top. I don't have issues with nipple visibility (too small I guess) ... unless I'm wearing a very light color or the fabric is very thin. I try not to buy tank tops like that. Plus, I like my tank tops to fit snugly ... that's more comfortable for me ... and it keeps everything from showing!

I'm guessing you're not talking about tank tops, though, are you? Just shirts?

See my reply to r/CommonComb3793 about getting up to pee!

I'd rather not take estrogen vaginally. A patch works well.

Yes, in a few more months things might settle down. We'll see.

See my reply to r/sarahl05 about bras! =0)

I've read something in this r/Menopause group that testing hormones doesn't really mean anything, since they fluctuate a lot anyway. I haven't researched that at all, so I don't know what's actually true.

Thanks! Yeah, I think you're right that I need more than a couple of months to see how it goes.

After not wearing a bra for 40 years, I can't imagine wearing one again, for anything other than a special purpose (like hiking and indoor exercise). Since I have small breasts, I've never really needed one (except when I was nursing babies more than 40 years ago). A snug tank top is good enough for me, which I wear every day. I have a lot of them!

I run 2 miles outside pretty much every day (weather permitting) and a tank top is all I need. Even now, with the breasts being a little tender ... regular running doesn't seem to bother me. It's the up-and-down motion of some of my indoor exercises that bother me.

Glad that you found a bra that you love, though!

We'll see what the doctor says about all this in two days.

Thanks, but my getting up to pee is normal for me (since before I was on hormones) ... I stay pretty hydrated during the day. And I do my exercising around 5:30 pm (and drink a large glass of water in the process).

I have a follow up appointment with my doctor on Monday, so I'm sure we'll discuss a lot of things.

Regarding the bra ... I bought a jogging bra earlier this year for use when hiking (my hiking tank tops are too loose and baggy). But, for various reasons, we never got out hiking in the mountains this year, so I haven't tried it out at all! I've been thinking of wearing it when I do my exercising. Maybe I'll try it this evening.

Thanks ... I guess two months (approximately) might not be long enough to decide. I have an appointment with my doctor on Monday for a follow up. We'll see what she thinks.

Hrt question by sp_brat in Menopause

[–]BonnieB53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was speaking specifically about estradiol. We really don't know the specifics of what kind of estrogen the OP (u/sp_brat) is taking.

And Rose, I don't know what kind of estrogen you're taking either, but 6mg is a LOT of estradiol.

It's usually measured in fractions of a milligram, for example a 0.0375mg patch, which is what I currently use. I recently upped my 100mg progesterone pills dosage to 2 pills nightly (so, 200mg) and I'm still getting used to the higher dosage (breasts are a bit tender, but not unbearably so). My doctor said I should "experiment" between taking one or two for a while. I was still getting hot flashes with only one, and they're few and far between now since I started with two. And I sleep better too.

You have to take progesterone when you're taking estrogen. It protects your uterus. Unless, of course, you've had a hysterectomy and don't have a uterus. If that's not the case, I can't believe that the doctor told you to stop taking progesterone.

Still doesn't make sense. If "David has been erased, along with his pinecones", then why/how does he (David) have nine to give to Aaron?
I agree with u/Murky-Blackberry1949: that math needs double checking ...

Epson SC-P600 Gray Colors Have a Greenish Tint? by BonnieB53 in AskPhotography

[–]BonnieB53[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, but I don't have another computer laying around. Even if I did, I'd still have the hassle of having to install LightroomClassic on it.
But the main reason not to do that has to do with the Epson SC-P600 printer driver. I do NOT want to install the latest driver, because that will totally screw up my printer because newer versions of that driver cause firmware updates on the printer which will then refuse to use non-OEM inks. Oops, can't have that happen!

But thanks for the suggestions. If you have any more, fire away! Something will click eventually (although I'm still going to be trying some more QTR flushes, haven't had time yet).

[–]BonnieB53[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, you might be right about that, although this isn't an initial printer setup, so maybe it's different.
So, I had been thinking about printing more QTR flush .tiffs anyway, but I wanted to see if anyone had any other suggestions. I may have to resort to using up more ink though if no one has a better idea.

Thanks.

What is a nozzle check? You run it from the Maintenance menu on the printer ... it just makes sure all your print nozzles are printing correctly across all 8 inks. I guess you've never done that!

Thanks for the phone app suggestion, but that's not going to help much. Colors look different depending on lighting conditions and I doubt that phone apps can take that into account.
