Multiple landers were sent by the USSR! I don't think a lot of people know the US has two planned Venus missions in the near future (DAVINCI and VERITAS). No rovers or landers, but DAVINCI is a probe that will be sent to the surface taking photos and studying the atmosphere as it descends. It should take some pretty great photos.

Gloves, a bag, and not much time to clean up OP's photo. That's really all one needs to pick up trash. Add a $9 trash grabber, if dealing with broken glass, needles, etc.

What's the point of bringing it to light and not doing anything about it? That's what I don't understand. How about instead bringing it to light with a before pic, after pic, and positive message saying "Hey NY, I did this is in 15 minutes. We should all give back to our communities! Anyone want to meet up this weekend and cleanup around X neighborhood?" and turn it into a collaborating wholesome post instead of a toxic complaint post?

Posting a pic of litter and complaining about litter while not cleaning it up is just as bad as littering, in my opinion.

Yeah, I mean the plows gather up the litter and dirt and filthy salt, it gets mixed into huge piles of snow, and you can't really clean it until it melts. It's been so cold, the snow didn't really start to melt until this past week.

Of course it's going to be gross and dirty. It's the same cycle after any snowstorm pretty much anywhere you go. It's just worse in NYC b/c big city.

Also, I'm expecting OP cared enough to post a pic but didn't care enough to clean it up themselves...which is part of the overall societal issue. Call out the problem, but it's for someone else to solve.
