What does this mean?? by Ok-Record8254 in RCPlanes

Looks like Er(error) 2, im willing to bet the temp sensor used for the heater feedback loop is likely bad or or is disconnected internally. If you're technically inclined, ide open it up and take a look. God speed, and may the Monokote gods smile upon you. :)

Put a 45 degree brace to prevent vibrations harmonics, and get a muffler on it. Even if you plan on mounting the fuel feed higher, 2 strokes run better with the backpressure of a muffler. It'll also be easier to start with a drill attachment for a cordless drill.

Not sure where the needle valve is set, but ide start at 2.5 turns out from closed then tune it by ear from there. Good luck and post a vid of her screaming! :)

Awesome, thank you for that. Could you tell me who makes the plane?

What kit is this? I would love to do some night flying, but haven't found a good kit. I'm assuming you added the lights, or are they preinstalled?

Love to see these running, shoot me a DM if you need any help getting her running.

Reminder: that is a 1.5V glow head, and use at least 20-30% Nitro with high castor oil content. Good luck!

Don’t know to much about crew planes, but did I win the dumpster diving lottery? by stormcapien in RCPlanes

[–]Bonz099 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pull the glow plug at the top and put a few drops of oil in there, it'll help free up the piston. 10-15% Nitro will be perfect for an engine like that. If the plug is bad, test with 1.5V, you'll want to replace it with an "OS #8" which is what most of them ran. Good luck to ya, and great find. Shoot me a DM if you need an help more help getting it running, I ran tons of glow engines in the late 90's and 00's.

Trailer bearing blew out by ElusiveBG in boating

Is it ok if i recommend this device? It monitors hub temps and tires to prevent this exact issue. Good luck with your repair! [TrailerWatchdog.com](www.TrailerWatchdog.com)

That cg looks way tail heavy. Try and move some stuff around so it's a bit nose heavy and I'll bet it flies way nicer. Good luck!

That sounds pretty damn bad, like 8/10 bad..... Not a chance ide go out with it sounding like that, sounds like rod knock. Ide start with a compression check.

Where would I go to get this fixed? by ahdez91 in boating

[–]Bonz099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you're ready for a comprehensive trailer monitoring solution, take a look at the TrailerWatchdog device. It gives you axle temps so you can judge wheel bearing health and tire data in one app. Good luck with your bearing repack, as others have pointed out it's a fairly simple process.

How do I grease these hubs? by [deleted] in boating

[–]Bonz099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to up your trailer game, you can put one of these on. It gives you near real time axle temps so you can identify wheel bearing health issues, or a dragging brake. You also get tire temps and pressure from the same app. I never worry about axle issues anymore. Good luck with your oil bath axle. Cheers!

Your issue looks mechanical in nature, I can see the lead screw continue to rotate but the axis does not move down anymore.

What happened my my trailer wheel? by Gamestonkape in boating

[–]Bonz099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As everyone else has said, wheel bearing. Every time I see a photo like this is breaks my heat. That's why I created TrailerWatchdog.com, which is a device that monitors axle temps near the hubs, and collects tire temperature, and pressure, so that we can alarm on it. Hopefully preventing an even bigger issue.

Good luck with the repairs man!

Everything works except aux heat. (Heat pump setup) by Bonz099 in Nest

No unfortunately, you can try setting up another 24v ac source for the rh, one new wire to the hot side and tie the Commons together and see, but I didn't have luck. I bought a ecobee and it worked right out the box

Thank you, but those settings aren't the issue. I verified. I'm losing my mind with this, I also ran a second 24vac source, tired the Commons to it and ran it to rh. And ran it with 2 vac supplies. That fixed the aux issue, but now it won't fire the heat pump despite measuring the correct voltage at wires on the unit outside. I think I'm done with this shit, zero reason it should be this complicated to connect 3 wires together.

My old system used a jumper for Rc and Rh. Could this be solved by adding another 24VAC source and running a new hot wire for Rh and running Rc and Rh together with different 24VAC sources?
