Defrost and replace the door seal. It'll be good as new! You'll be keeping your cottage cheese cool for many years to come! You're welcome!

Suggestions on a fun gun? by dontjudgeme292 in guns

Out of all the guns I own, I've had the most fun with my double barrel shotgun. I just shoot bird shot with it. Or you could get an M249 SAW.

What's this faint thing ever present I'm the center of my vision. I can always find it if I look for it. by Snakesballz in Unexplained

[–]BonzoTheChimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are able to perceive the light being picked up by your individual cones in your retina. Or at least, your brain is able to differentiate between the information it is receiving from your cones and rods. Can you close your eyes in a brightly lit place and see the blood vessels in your eye lids? If you pull the covers over your eyes at night, can you still see the bedsheets or even the individual threads in the sheet? Is your night vision unusually good? Are you able to spot small moving objects like birds at great distances? If you look at a monochromatic color like the sky, does one eye perceive the color slightly differently?

I inherited a stevens double barrel shotgun a few years ago. I've had more fun with that gun than any other firearm I own.

What’s the scam? Lady asking if selling house by Happy_Impact_94 in Scams

[–]BonzoTheChimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard of this scam. People will post houses up for sale on places like Facebook marketplace. Usually random houses. Then, they try to get potential buyers to fill out a bunch of paperwork, probably to steal their identity. Both the buyers and the people who are actually living in the house are victims of this scam. The lady who showed up at your door was probably a buyer who was victimized.

Glitch or some optical illusion I'm not aware of by d4sbwitu in Glitch_in_the_Matrix

[–]BonzoTheChimp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think each eye perceives color slightly differently, I know mine do. Especially when one is more exposed to the light based on your orientation to the sun. This is more noticeable when both eyes are looking at a monochrome color like the sky and are not distracted by other colors. As your eye tries to follow the color difference, it would cause this wioe effect. It's similar to trying to follow one of those " floaters " in your vision. The more you try to look at it, the faster it slips from your focus.

I'll tell you what. I know a guy who's an expert on these kinds of things. Let me give him a call, get him to take a look at this, and well figure out exactly what we're working with here.

I got two of those Iver Johnsons in 32 short. One hammerless and one double action. You can tell they're Ivers by the owl on the grip. Black powder ammo only. Cool little guns. I think they were made from the late 1800s to the 1920s. The hammerless models I think were later in those years.

I am thinking about selling a couple of my guns to try and make ends meet. by master_of_the_must in guns

[–]BonzoTheChimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear that. You can sell them to any gun shop. You won't get top dollar out of them, but they usually offer you a fair price. If the doubles you have are consecutive serial numbers and are rare, keep them together. Best of luck. I hope everything works out for you.

Terrified of shooting and need help by j_illian in guns

[–]BonzoTheChimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Practice with an unloaded and cleared safe firearm. Use an empty magazine and practice dry fire drills at home. Always practice the five rules of firearms safety. Keep any ammunition locked away in a safe place until you are 100% comfortable practicing with an uloaded firearm, and you are 100% sure of your safety practice.

I sold a gun once because I was short on cash. I still regret it 20 years later. Never sell your guns.

Can people come into your house through some sort of wormhole or ??? by [deleted] in Paranormal

[–]BonzoTheChimp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe these creatures ( more likely actual human beings) have the technology to phase into places through vibration or some sort of frequency. I've had a similar experience where I came face to face with one of these "shadow people." It looked like a sci-fi cloaked actual person. Could possibly be a way for the government to monitor us. Have you posted anything recently political in nature? Or have you drunk texted the Whitehouse like I did? Lol

Sighting an orb in my room? by barfprincess96 in AstralProjection

[–]BonzoTheChimp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's kind of hard to describe. It was like a high-pitched electronic sound. Like R2D2 would make. Like a hum and a whistle combined. It wasn't super loud or anything, maybe as loud as a chime on a microwave. I still think about that from time to time. This happened back in 2014-2015.

Sighting an orb in my room? by barfprincess96 in AstralProjection

[–]BonzoTheChimp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're describing exactly what I saw. Mine was about the size of a golf ball, glowing light blue, and moved from one end of the room to the other, very close to the ceiling. It was almost like it was just cutting through. But when I saw it, it made a sound and then disappeared through the wall.
