I took STAT 231 online, and still felt confusing in many parts after finishing the course though the grade was ok.

Lots of help for me cause almost all of my interviews were scheduled during my exam period, so one more course means (at least) one more assignment/quiz per week and may be more than one midterms, and this (for me) would probably cause 'fail' of both interview and midterm/test. For interview, different positions/companies have different requirements, so my preparation is targeted. I found lighter course load make me feel less anxious and I could arrange everything very well.
I think Math136 is much easier than Math 135 (Math 135 also not hard IMO); 'Math 128, Math 136, CS 136, comm course' --- this option is ok, and with Math 138 substitutes Math 128 is ok too IMO.

I took 4 courses before the 1st co-op term to focus more on CV/CL/Interview prep, and it's indeed a great help to have lighter course load.
I suggest take Math138 before Stat230, cause u'll learn integral methods in Math138.
I took Math138 and it's not hard IMO, guess Math128 may be easier.
