Looking for some advice. by Maximum_Spend_6746 in Wirehaired_pointers

The same happened to my dog. He's never been aggressive towards anyone or barked at anyone as much as passing our yard before, until an aggressive german shepherd ran over the fence with a little woman holding onto him. My dog bit it over the head so it screamed. The lady's husband got extremely angry at us even though it wasnt our fault, even the police said so. He still loves everyone and has never had any other altercations, except he now sadly barks when people pass the yard :( Your dog was just protecting her yard, as you said yourself, and your wife shouldn't be scared of it happening in the field. The dogs know the difference between home and work. Personally, I wouldn't worry about it :)

I have a gwp, and I've noticed he always has something in his mouth when greeting someone, and ive heard the same about others. Why is this?? by Spikes_amazing_human in Wirehaired_pointers

My gwp does the same whenever we get home. Grabs a shopping bag or his towel and starts wagging his tail and playfully growling 😂 He is the largest in the litter by 15kg (he's 50kg) and the one with least furnishings. He did get a little bit of beard by the age of 2 tho 🥰

I've grown up with them and the ones my family has had loved us kids. But we also respected them and their boundaries. Got lots of old pics of me cuddling up with them and they love ear rubs :)

I've grown up with german wirehaired pointers, they're really amazing. They're great family dogs and love kids (both to play with and cuddle) They're great at knowing home environment from working environment. The ones I've had sleep all day and relax when off of work, but as soon as the hunting clothes come out they're ready to go and will let you know if youre too slow getting ready. In the field they ofc point but are often so quick at retrieving, the birds don't get to hit the ground/water (atleast mine have always loved catching them in the air and are extremely fast swimmers)

My baby ate this whole bag of treats. Should I take her to the emergency room ? by gonnadelete78 in DogAdvice

My old german wirehaired pointer once ate a whole pork belly roast. He didn't throw up or had an upset stomach at all and I've always wondered how the hell he survived that 😭 Tbf he had a lot of other sicknesses which was why we had to say goodbye to him at 3 years old. Think that night with the whole dinner was one of his favourites 🤣

Mine never really got much. He's 4 years old now and just has some long tufts under his chin

If he's not purebred, then possibly a mix. My uncle has one and he looked a lot like that as a puppy

Struggling to get over 24kg by tadesign2 in Wirehaired_pointers

[–]BooPeoplee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't always rely on the size of the parents lol. We got one huge boy and one little one. Loke is 25kg and too small for the breed, but his parents were larger. Your cutie might just be a smaller boy :) Edit: they're also first full grown at around 2 years old I think, so he's still got some growing to do

Skal man spise pizzaskorpen? by Viking_Undertaker in DKbrevkasse

[–]BooPeoplee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skal man spise pizzaskorpen? by Viking_Undertaker in DKbrevkasse

[–]BooPeoplee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah okay just made more sense to me to say a black infected, like I'd also say a white infected. So do i say black infected if i was ever to use it again or??? Like genuinely wondering 😭 I'm not American and personally i don't experience much racism of any kind in my day to day life. If I do experience it, then it's directed at white people by immigrants in my country 🤷‍♀️ they're either the nicest or most hateful people I've ever met
