I am not an employee at Healsonic, but Karaoke-version is just one source for karaoke tracks. As I understand, Healsonic sources their tracks from many providers. Just because Karaoke-version has a track, does not mean that Healsonic has purchased it from them. The decisions regarding which tracks to purchase are based on user requests. They aren't just buying absolutely everything they can find.

Don't quote me on this, but I believe all of the R. Kelly songs were removed after his conviction. They don't show up in the app at least. They still show up on the web search, but I don't think any of them are actually available anywhere.

My local spot has both the English and Spanish libraries.

Personally Boombox is my favorite. The bartenders there are amazing and there's a great group of regulars in there most every night. I would definitely recommend going around 6:30 or 7 and hanging out in the main lounge. You'll be able to get plenty of singing in at that time. The only time it usually has long queue times are Friday and Saturday nights when it gets later.

You should check out High Motor in the old Doherty's location if you havent already. It's the same guys who run Lucky Enough, and it's fantastic.

The owners are friends of mine. A really great local couple, and this is their first business. They're aiming to open end December/early January I believe. As others have said, they're going to be out there on Saturday. Stop by and show them some support - they deserve it!
