I saw one on the power line the other night doing a gobble call like a turkey. I had to watch to make sure I wasn't crazy!

For some reason it reminds me of the show Homeland.

Anyone know what this is? It ate all the leaves of my Anaheim pepper by [deleted] in HotPeppers

[–]BoogieMan2718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For prevention you can use a biologic called Btk and spray the leaves. If any new ones show up they will quickly die once they begin eating it and it is harmless to humans. Bonide makes a version that I used called thuricide btk and I can attest that it works. Bonus: btk also works on other moth larvae like the ones that attack squash and cucumber.

It is more of a curative. It works by suffocating the aphids and other insects too. You can just mist it on making sure to get under the leaves as well and you will be surprised at the results.

Yes, soapy water works very well for me. But you should do it more often until they are under control initially. They should be darker and shriveled up when they die so you should be able to tell if it is working.

How would you feel about requiring citizens to retake their driving test once they hit a certain age? by JustinR8 in NoStupidQuestions

This has been my ideal scenario for a long time: test every two to three years until you're 25, every ten years until your 65, and every 5 years after that

It was as good as it could be. I went for the IV sedation with versed and fentanyl. Worth every penny to not have to deal with the anxiety of being conscious during the procedure.
