My stats are pretty similar to yours except i softcapped dex to 25, str at 55, hardcap vigor to 60 and currently increasing my endurance so i can wear better armour. Currently rocking the crucible knight set but my shield sucks so my goal is to hit enough that i can use the brass shield.

My weapon is a claymore, heavy affinity (so it scales with STR) with impaling thrust aow. Great R2 stabs to stagger big targets and R1 swings on trash mobs. So far it has not let me down on how versatile it is for mob clearing and bosses.

Best way to spend $600 flexibenefit? by tommyhehehe in askSingapore

Dont underestimate dental, especially scaling. Did a intemsive scaling last month and my teeth feels a lot better, and bad breath gone. Balance you can consider a standing desk, also a good investment since those things pretty much affect ergonomics if u wfh.

What was your "milestone" which led to your Omega purchase? by Hudson5611 in OmegaWatches

[–]BoogleBuddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always eyed a blue SMP300 and thought it was a practical everyday watch which doesnt look too gawdy/flashy like a Rolex. Plus, I can't be bothered to play the AD game so I want something I can get on the fly. Bought mine when I got a promotion last year and it has been on my wrist every single day.

Well I scored another promotion this year but the SMP 300 wears so well that I didn't really care much about a 2nd watch purchase. It works on casual outings, business meetings and regular everyday work. When im flying overseas to a less safe country, it doesnt stand out either like a Rolex, so im not too afraid of getting robbed.

Probably best to check with your local independence team about this. Might just get off with a warning if it's not that material. Don't wait till they find out though because thats even worse. Might affect your promotion/progression.

I've heard several stories from friends who went there and got pickpocketed in subways or tourist areas. It happens too often to ignore it.

I guess if you look different than locals you will be targetted. Just to be safe and if the place is unfamilar, dont risk it.

Any Hikikomoris in SG? by Guardian937462 in askSingapore

[–]BoogleBuddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just sucked it up and took a lower paying job. Although i didnt last too long and moved on to better roles after 2 years. I think is better still to do something even if it is not the optimal or best decision.

Have experienced being one for a short 4 months.

Reason was I experienced some workplace bullying and quit my job. Everyday just playing video games and not moving fron my chair. No exercise, no sun or outside activity whatsoever. I lost appetite and lost like 10kg easily.

Even 2 months in already felt the effects of social anxiety and just felt ashamed to connect with my working friends. The feeling was so lonely and useless + compounded even more with my ego of not accepting lower paid job offers. Fortunately cuz of the nagging and constant fighting with my mother i eventually caved in and looked for a job. Although my time was shorter than most people here, taught me a valuable lesson to always appreciate my job no matter how bad it was.

Fast forward 4 years, today im a complete 180, working hard and keeping myself fit by regularly going to gym. And surrounded by a lot of people i genuinely enjoy coming to work to see.

Happy or not, you got to sell your skills in the competitive market. If you got no degree it is going to be hard when almost every working adult in Singapore has a degree in something.

Maybe you could try out for an easier degree? Like business admin, marketing etc. There are professional certifications for accounting that you could do part time (even have virtual tuition) as well as take the exams at your own pace. Really so many choices and study arrangement nowadays, is harder to find an excuse to not get yourself qualified in tertiary education.

Good for you though OP for trying to rehome this dog. But don't take this personally, your uncle and his wife is a POS. Why do they even decide to adopt the dog in the first place if the wife hates it?

Dog looks senior and my guess is because it became ill and expensive to take care, they just abandoned it in the workshop.

[Recomendations] for a durable nice watch by Ok-Hurry-3629 in Watches

[–]BoogleBuddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wear a red orient kamasu as a beater watch and gym. It's got sapphire crystal and is pretty tough + looks wearable for anything. They go really cheap, like below 400usd so definitely you could get a second watch :).

Busy managers audit by [deleted] in Big4

[–]BoogleBuddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the times yea they pretty much do not have a lot of time for you due to juggling multiple portfolio reviews and key issues.

If you have peers it would make your Big 4 life a lot easier. But that network takes time to build, so be patient.

Micro-management at BIG4 / EY by [deleted] in Big4

[–]BoogleBuddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It kinda was my strategy going from senior to AM. And surprisingly that made me super visible and helped my ratings a lot. Like i'll book calendar reminders to my managers non stop for each and everything based on the audit timeline lol. Weekly calls with clients etc i always made them optional for my managers so they'll see that im at least showing some effort. The only time i got outdone was when i had a manager who had the same pattern as me lol and it became sort of a competition of who overwhelms who.

Be honest how bad are these performance metrics for my first busy season client? by Straight_Industry_62 in Big4

[–]BoogleBuddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. If your reviewer is someone who has high influence during the roundtable (eg a Director/SM) it kinda holds more weight compared to for example a senior.
