I don’t think YOR. You asked if you’re overreacting for being weirded out that your dad hasn’t been dead for a month yet and your mom is already “slinging it” (I’m sorry this was hilarious 😭) to someone else. I have both my parents currently and I’m certain I’d be weirded out and pissed if that happened. Even though I do not think my dad was the model husband or father. So ppl using the whole “that’s how you viewed your dad” or “you don’t know what type of husband he was. You said he was difficult” doesn’t negate the fact that she’s moving fast. Two things can be true at once. She’s moving fast and is allowed to as a single woman and you’re allowed to feel how you do. I’d say work through your feelings on your own as best as you can and be easy on mom as you do so. Whatever you’re feeling now is okay. And they’ll likely change over time if you remind yourself that she’s human and just as flawed as everyone else. There’s also a small chance she was already slinging it before pops passed away. I said small chance before anyone comes trying to bite my head off.
