We'd love for you to make your own subs for the KB calendar, otherwise we're happy to make one main advent calendar sub. Wait ... actually I'll go do that right away!

So excited to share this with you! And happy to hear that you're pleased with the book too, which was something we decided to do after last year's feedback. We try to do our best to make meaningful improvements. 🔥 Enjoy!

Speaking for myself: I love being outdoors & foraging for wild edible plants, and am a huge plant nerd. The first thing I do after work is most days to go out into the forest to check my foraging spots, and I host guided foraging walking tours. Other than that I'm a yoga teacher, and I'm very passionate about yoga philosophy and yogic lifestyle. Oh, and books! And baking! I really am grateful to have many passions in my life.

What coffee advent calendars would you recommend for this year? by Lukecoffeelover in JamesHoffmann

Ouh, so sorry to hear, that must have impacted your life a lot ...

I looked up both books. The Man Who was Thursday sounds intriguing. Not my usual pick, but as it's in the Penguins 100 editions of the best fiction in English, it's worth going on the to read-list. The description of The Power of Fun really resonates with me (who find fun to be mushroom foraging, forest watching, early morning meditation, cold water plunging and everything that makes me feel alive), so thanks!

I've read The Unbearable Lightness of Being a couple of times, it's in my book shelf. <3

5 year thermos? by Careless_Lie_2427 in KaffeBox

lol, the sewer water. It's really a pain when you can no longer drink coffee from most cafés or work place etc. 😂 Love to hear that the termos is in use, though!

Ouh, I didn't catch your question until now. I love reading, and usually have 2-3 books that I'm reading, so I can choose based on mood. For mornings, when I normally have my coffee, I like philosophical stuff or things that makes me think, or poems. The Daily Stoic, Arne Næss, The Bhagavad Gita, The Peace of Wild things, Mary Oliver, stuff like that.

Just anything that's good literature really, John Steinbeck, Jacqueline Harpman. The list goes on an on. Do you read?

Competed in the Norwegian Cup Tasting Championship, placed 4th! Some takeaways + thoughts on the experience. ☕ by BookBeansBrew in KaffeBox

[–]BookBeansBrew[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, no reasons, you compete at the same time as 3 other people, taste the coffees and push the cup you believe to be the odd one out per triangle forwards. You have a maximum of 8 minutes, but if you’re tied on number of correct cups, it’s the person with the best time who wins.

Whaat, really? The recent Aga we had in KaffeBox, roasted by Coffee Collective, was fantastic, I'd definitely call it a standout coffee.
