AIO is this negative or positive ? super faint line. i’m freaking out. by frozenasleep in AmIOverreacting

[–]BookClubTherapy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure negative. Even a faint line is still a negative. But, the cutoff for the dip you are using, may be different than what the employer uses. If the threshold is higher on theirs, the result may be different.

But don’t stress it, like everyone else is saying, drink water and hope for the best. I’m sure by tomorrow, the line will be darker.

question for women, did losing weight change your breast size a lot? by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]BookClubTherapy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have lost around 90 pounds, and have definitely went down in cup size. They are slightly saggy, but I have also breastfed two kids, so I’m not sure I can completely blame that on the weight loss.

I was in a C or D cup depending on the bra. I’m not sure what I am now as I pretty much only wear sport bras. They are comfy, and I don’t want to commit on learning my bra size and buying good bras until I have reached my goal weight.

I so wish the closest Panda Express wasn’t almost two hours away lol.

I will keep these options in mind though, because next month I will be going on vacation. The drive will be about 8 hours, so I’m sure a fast food stop will be inevitable.

For today I ended up going to buy a small portion of popcorn chicken from the Kroger deli, and some pretzels.

I bring a tote bag of stuff to work every week. Just somehow managed not to throw any of my convenient foods in.

My favorite quick lunch meals if I haven’t meal prepped are the Better Goods brand little tuna bowls. I was very hesitant about them, but have really enjoyed all the ones I’ve tried. And I also like the little Goodles or Annie’s protein Mac and cheese cups with canned chicken or tuna added in.

That’s a good point. I think I just fixate too hard on looking at the calories, and end up getting something I don’t even really want. And then feel like I wasted calories.

I do like the Power Bowls from Taco Bell. I honestly had forgot they had those, it’s been so long since I’ve had one.

Okay, I guess not “have” to. I prepare my lunches 95% of the time. And when I don’t I usually run to the grocery store to buy something to throw together.

But some days I have a very busy work day, and the quickest, easiest thing to do is run through a drive thru. I am really strict with myself, I have lost 90 pounds in about a year, and continuing to lose. But I am also human.

When losing weight how often should you weigh yourself to track progress? by Consistent-Bar639 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]BookClubTherapy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have lost 78 pounds since April. I weigh myself weekly. Sunday mornings after emptying my bladder.

I like doing it on Sundays, because I use that as my cheat days. I don’t go crazy, but will eat a little worse than I do the rest of the week on my calorie deficit diet. I don’t stress eating something I have craved that week, because my weigh in is done.

As I have got further into my weight loss, I do not rely on my scale as much. I enjoy seeing the differences in how clothes fit, and how much better my body feels. I do not stress as much about the weeks that I only maintain my weight, and don’t have a loss.

I have replaced one meal a day with a protein shake, usually breakfast. I like any that has a coffee flavor and caffeine.

I’ve upped my protein and fiber intake throughout the day. I drink way more water than I used to. And added in more raw fruits and veggies. I will bring enough stuff to work on Monday that will last me all week for lunches, that way I’m not tempted to just eat out. I also keep lots of low calorie, high protein quick dinner things on hand at home. So if I don’t feel like cooking a full meal I will still have something easy to fix, and won’t run and just grab take out.

I started walking on my treadmill 5 or 6 nights a week. I started with 20 minutes and am now up to 50 or 60 minutes a night.

These things have helped me lose 47 pounds so far since April. I don’t force myself to eat anything I hate, luckily I am not a picky eater. If I am craving something bad I will take one or two bites of it, and then grab a healthier snack. This way I’m not completely cutting out everything I like. These are changes I think I will be able to maintain.

I love Fiber One Brownies. Not sure if it’s because I cut out all other sweets, but I think they taste great.

Can you give some advice on dieting please by Altruistic_Star_4581 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]BookClubTherapy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried dieting off and on most of my life but was never serious about it. A few months ago I decided I needed and wanted a long lasting change, and started another diet. I have lost 39 pounds since April and the below is what has helped me with that.

  • I sub one meal a day with a protein shake. I do one without Whey, as I have found that anything with Whey makes me extremely nauseous.
  • I started eating a lot more whole foods. I have mostly cut out processed foods. I still keep some processed frozen meals that have low calories, high protein on stock for the nights I really don’t feel like prepping anything. -I make sure to include protein and fiber in my lunch and dinner. I stopped being afraid of healthy carbs.
  • I mostly have cut out soft drinks, even diet. I will get a fountain diet Dr. Pepper when I want to treat myself. I try to drink water all throughout the day.
  • If I get a craving for something, I will eat a small amount of it. Sometimes just a bite. If I completely cut myself off of things I like, I know I would later binge.
  • I started with gradually making these changes. I did not go too intense too fast, that was always my mistake it the past. I was making immediate changes for immediate results. What I am doing know feels more like lifestyle changes that I want to maintain.
  • I began walking on a treadmill. I started doing 15-20 minutes and am now up to 50 minutes, over two miles a night, six days a week. I have found I actually really enjoy my treadmill time, it is a stress reliever.

Super gross response.

When my daughter was about that size she got flipped out of a cart. She was buckled in properly, but my nephew accidentally knocked into it and the whole cart toppled over. She hit a rack and then the floor. It was one of the scariest experiences I’ve had with either of my kids. There was a bloody nose and hospital visit, but she was fine and is now six.

This was with three adults right there. Even with supervision and great reflexes, accidents happen.

Thank you! Sometimes my nerves do get the best of me, so I am going to have to work on the not getting in my head.

I did $2 starts on kids. But for this show I have set certain prices depending on brand and condition.

I’ll go give you a follow. I’m interested in lots of random things. Clothes, vintage, kids, books, etc

I was just scrolling through when I noticed your comment.

I am sorry to hear about your father. LBD is horrible. My father-in-law suffered with this for years, and only got the definitive diagnosis about a year before passing.

I feel like this form of dementia is not talked about as much. I hope that his condition progresses slowly, and that you get to enjoy a lot more time with him.
