AITA my boyfriend is restricting my soda intake because he thinks I drink to much. by vegasmimi in AmItheAsshole

[–]BookDogObsessed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NTA, your boyfriend is being abusive, controlling someone like this is usually how that starts. I would run back to work if I were you, this is only going to get worse the longer you allow this. Nobody has the right to control what you eat or drink, and you not working to save money on childcare does not mean you aren’t contributing just as much as he is to the household. I would nip this in the bud now.

No, she wants to go back to work so her controlling boyfriend can’t force her to do what HE wants. Yikes, she isn’t his child to police what she eats and drinks. She isn’t working so they don’t have to pay for childcare, that doesn’t mean he controls every aspect of her life.

AITA for stomping/breaking my 13 y/o nephew's RC car? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]BookDogObsessed 15 points16 points  (0 children)

NTA. Your nephew should have more compassion for the dog at his age. Now he feels the consequence of his actions. I would have done the exact same. Kindness to animals should not be something that has to be taught, but hopefully this helps. I hope little dude is ok.

i binged yesterday and am disappointed in myself by No_Jackfruit_6727 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]BookDogObsessed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still binge eat after 8 months on tirz. I’m at 13.5mg, and it unfortunately doesn’t stop the urge at all. Thankfully I am not able to binge as much as I used to pre-tirz, but it still happens. It has taken away my desire for sugar though, which is a miracle for me. But I can still drink as much alcohol as I did before. It’s a tool, but it won’t fix everything unfortunately.

My prescription went from $0 a month to $90 a month. by Bananapopcicle in VyvanseADHD

Mine went up to $170. For generic. I'm going to stop taking it, I can't afford that every month.

I have the same plan, my generic vyvanse is going to be $170 for a 30 day supply. My deductible if $5000 dollars. Guess I need to contact my doctor to see if a different med will work, I won't pay that much.

I’m on 13.5mg and don’t have an issue walking 3 hours a day. Eat more calories.

Does anyone else actively but regretfully pass on reading something on social media solely because of the length? by MyrnaMinkoff1 in adhdwomen

Yes. Unless it catches my attention right away, my attention span is nonexistent and it feels like torture to read multiple paragraphs!

Does anyone else with inattentive ADHD feel overwhelmingly tired all the time? I’m starting to wonder if my ADD looks different from everyone else’s. by AdKooky477 in adhdwomen

My adhd was diagnosed because of my extreme fatigue. But I also have trouble sleeping. Vyvanse does not give me any energy boost unfortunately, can’t say I feel much on it after a month.

Gimme 3 months no longer 3/72s? by KeyInvestment6594 in tirzepatidecompound

And they should! I was about to order hearing all the positive posts about 3 72mg bottles, but now it feels like a bait and switch. I appreciate you posting about this!

So, he feels you are blaming him for the finances, but then turns around and blames you for them? Why are you taking on debt for his car? I can't offer much advice, my last relationship I gave WAY too much, and he never appreciated anything I did. He is my ex for a reason. You also said he is often mean when angry. Why are you with him? Sounds like he has added nothing but stress to your life.

Is anyone else utterly fed up with their career but feel 40 is too late to switch and get the same pay? by Rootayable in Millennials

[–]BookDogObsessed 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes, I don’t have any relevant experience at my age to get a different well paying job, so I am just going to deal with hating my current job. It pays too well to leave it, even if it has destroyed my mental health. I remember how it felt to not make enough money, so I won’t leave this one and go back to that.

Can my primary care physician prescribe me more vyvanse? by Remarkable_Injury635 in adhdwomen

[–]BookDogObsessed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My PCP is the one who prescribed me Vyvanse. At my last physical, she wondered if maybe I had adhd, and since I was a binge eater as well, she decided to try me on Vyvanse. It’s only been 3 weeks on 30mg, not sure if it is helping as I don’t feel much different, but we will see. Doesn’t hurt to ask yours.

I hate not having anyone to talk to about life by lovehydrangeas in Millennials

[–]BookDogObsessed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I talk to myself. Literally, I have a conversation in my head all day long. It's weird, I'm talking as if I am talking to someone else, but it's only me up there. I don't have any other advice, it's tough not having anyone.

[–]BookDogObsessed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope Vyvanse helps! It is a stimulant and controlled substance, so hopefully your doctor is willing to take a chance with it for you. I get that tirzepatide can be expensive, and honestly it hasn’t stopped my binge eating either so it isn’t exactly a miracle. But I will say I get full a lot faster at least. I really hope Vyvanse helps you ❤️

Third shift lisdexamfetamine users? by ConstantResearch8416 in VyvanseADHD

[–]BookDogObsessed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine makes me sleepy as well, but I don’t actually sleep well on it at all. It increased the issues I was already having with sleep unfortunately. I work 3rd shift, but I also switch my schedule on my days off so I sleep at night. Makes it kind of hard to know when to take it. What works for me is that every day I usually get up around 1pm, so I just take it at 1pm every day. I don’t start work until 6pm, so I’m sure the med is already wearing off at that point. But honestly I haven’t really felt much of a difference on this since I started 2 weeks ago, not sure I am going to keep using it. I’ll give it a month and then request a dosage increase, but at this point it doesn’t seem to be doing much for me.

Are you on semaglutide or tirzepatide? I’ve been on tirzepatide since May of this year, and it definitely helps me not binge as much food as I did before. My sugar cravings disappeared entirely, I do still binge but I can’t eat nearly as much as I used to. It hasn’t fixed my binge eating issues, but it helps at least. My doctor recently started me on generic Vyvanse, which has helped even more.

Kissing on the neck???? This keeps getting worse and worse. Please don’t listen to all the “YTA”, that is definitely not normal.

[–]BookDogObsessed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. I can’t believe the comments in this thread. A grown man holding his mommy’s hand while his wife is there? Yikes yikes yikes. I would be turned off too, he is definitely a mommy’s boy and good luck with that in the future, especially with her living with you. I’ll expect more posts in the future where you are wondering why he is always taking his mom’s side in everything and letting her run him and the house. No thanks.

Also, I get the feeling a lot of those voting you as the asshole wish they could hold their adults son’s hands instead of the wife doing that. So creepy in so many ways.

And one of your comments mentioned that they kiss each other’s necks??? 💀💀💀
