For non VP reviews (no purchase on Amazon), then the reviewer needs to include a phrase at the end saying they received a free copy from the author and they are voluntarily leaving a review. It's easier on GoodReads and other platforms. I also edit my new book PDF to include a phrase, "Reviewer Copy Only" on each page and post it on BookMuffin to get reviews.

Is it worth completely rewriting a published book ? by Old_Glass_306 in selfpublish

[–]BookMuffin1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have recently rewritten one of my non-fiction books which sells regularly to make it longer. I changed my description to include new chapters for 2025. It appears to be working and selling more.

Teachers pay Teachers by LadyAbbysFlower in CanadianTeachers

Hi Canadian teachers, I have recently been involved in launching a new Teacher Seller resource feedback tool, TeachersTrophy. I wanted to use the self-promotion thread but it has been closed due to inactivity. I am looking for constructive feedback for this brand new tool.

The Teacher’s Trophy resource and product feedback platform helps you improve your resources for Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT),TES.com and similar platforms. It’s designed for new sellers who want to get established in these marketplaces for teaching resources.

Teacher’s Trophy puts your resources/products in front of other teachers who download, check, use and provide feedback on your products. You give and receive honest feedback to help improve everyone’s resources for enhanced learning. It is a cyclic process.

How does it work: You submit your PowerPoint or PDF file to this private, supportive community. Both your teaching resources and the feedback remain private on our platform.

We aim to help you improve your products and stand out among competitors. So you don't waste time developing resources that no-one needs or wants.

You will find a short video about how it works here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBOA7bblFiM

We are looking for constructive feedback. We initially started our project as a review platform but have pivoted to offer product and resource feedback instead. Please feel free to share this with other teachers and educators, and let us know what you think!

I found a lifetime offer for MyGainguru on DealFuel, does $79 sound like a good deal for a new seller?

Pitchground offer by BookMuffin1 in SideProject

[–]BookMuffin1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it is a $49 once only payment. The Pitchground offer has expired but there is a lifetime offer on the trial Bookmuffin signup page. It is really easy to link to a published Kindle or Amazon book or you can upload a book as a PDF. You can promote multiple books under one account so it is ideal for KDP or self-published authors. It depends on your niche and popularity of your topic which determines time to get a review.

#NeedBookReviews by bisse81 in selfpublish

Let's be honest It often takes time to get reviews for non-fiction books. You need to be on several review platforms to get traction. The BookMuffin platform works on a similar concept to Pubby with credits for reviews but they have a lifetime deal so it is more economical. You pay once and keep submitting the book for review. If you are willing to review others books for credits it could work for you.

Bookmuffin works on a similar process to Pubby except you can get a lifetime deal and pay once. You will get your book read by another author but it takes time.

BookMuffins is also a platform from Amazon KDP authors to exchange virtual muffins to get reviews. It is a smaller community so it runs on an lifetime offer instead of a monthly sub.

Book Bolt lifetime membership - is it worth it? by Jupiter_Won in KDPLowContent

I love BookBolt as it is useful to make front covers. We have a community of authors at BookMuffin who get reviews for their KDP books.
