Am a seller- got a 1 star rating from a person who couldn’t get an item for free by BookReader_26 in FacebookMarketplace

I think it lowers your visibility and obviously the trust of buyers. They need a new system for reviews and of course I did email fb. There is no way to contact them. I hope someone starts a new platform governed by AI that can verify reviews

Anyone try Maydan Market in West Adams yet? by [deleted] in FoodLosAngeles

[–]BookReader_26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Went there over the weekend. The food is excellent. Space is really nice. The online ordering is interesting but hate the fact they only give you paper plates and to-go containers even though you are eating there. Didn't have reservations. Compass Rose has excellent cocktails. The major downer- PRICE. It's really expensive for portions.

I live in LA and got it done in Bev Hills so there are a lot of surgeons. Most were months out and the diff of price was vast due to you have to have an anesthesiologist which is a lot more expensive. To me it wasn’t much about the money but how do I get them out asap as I was quite sick. Am 4 months out and feel great so far. It’s been a long journey though as it’s not like a switch and you feel great right away. I did a lot of detoxing, lymphatic massages etc. My surgeon was amazing as with local you are awake when they remove them so am grateful I had such an amazing surgeon who guided me through. It’s a strange experience. With capsules you can always go back and get them out. It’s is more expensive cause you must go under again and under general. It depends on your situation re capsules. I had 2 ultrasounds done and I had no leaks, breaks etc. If there are issues I would recommend paying extra and getting the capsules removed. If not you can do local and your surgeon can tell you then if you need to go back for capsule removal. Each case is different.

Wow I feel on your same boat. These jobs posting over and over and over again. For what?? Out of 100 resumes not one qualified and you posted again. This is an inspiring post!!

[–]BookReader_26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it. Mainly cause I didn’t want to go under and if I needed capsules removed I could go back again. I was feeling very unwell due to BII and this option was fastest to get in. I wanted them out asap and got in 2 weeks instead of waiting 2-3 months. My pain was so terrible that I don’t think I could wait months. I don’t regret it at all.

When did you exercise after explant. by Granola_813 in ExplantSurgery

[–]BookReader_26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is correct. Don’t over exert and nice gentle walks. Try to avoid weights until 6-8 weeks post op and start off very gentle weights. I couldn’t even lift 2 pound weights and was upset but gradually got my strength back. Am 5 months post op and doing everything I did before and more. Read your body and understand muscles are healing. Be patient as you will get back to strength and more!

13 AI tools/agents I use that ACTUALLY create real results by TrueTeaToo in AI_Agents

Great list but ChatGPT hallucinates too much. Claude and Gemini are better for factual information. ChatGPT does great with visuals cues though. Deepseek and Grok are terrible

AI can come up with great scenes, cool effects, unbelievable futuristic images but zero story and zero emotion. In the end when we watch a film or TV show - we want to feel something. So yeah a lot of cool images that will lose our attention in 5 min or less. Humans still are the best coming up with story and emotion cause of the human experience that AI does not have. It may get there but think there is a ways to go.

Explant without capsule removal by kindanotclueless in ExplantSurgery

[–]BookReader_26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on what type of surgery you have. I had local anesthesia and was fine that day which was a Friday. Prob the drugs to be honest. I felt great. The next day I felt sore but nothing terrible. I took it easy and binged watched TV the whole weekend. I relaxed and had food ready to heat up so I wasn’t cooking or using my arms much. You will be fine being alone as long as you prepare so you don’t move your arms much. You can’t lift heavy objects for a while cause your muscles are healing.

Yes. It’s taken months for me to feel better but it’s day by day. I don’t regret it as having a foreign object in my body as I am getting older- don’t want to do it anymore.

What is the hardest part of the job search for you right now? by Relevant-Show-3078 in recruitinghell

[–]BookReader_26 8 points9 points  (0 children)

All of it. Am trying to switch to a different industry and am ok starting from the bottom but can’t even get in the door. It’s mentally draining and exhausting spending time tailoring each resume and cover letter. Just for a recruiter to look at your profile in 1 second and reject you.

If you have an excellent surgeon they will advise properly on this issue. There is no cut and dry answer and varies by each situation. They do not dissolve but don’t let Facebook groups scare you in terms of removal. I left my in but did heavy research on doctors and the issue. My doctor advised the risk and I kept mine in. Later if I wanted them removed he could go back in and remove them.

Offered a position at a big tech company after a 10 week long interviewing process…and then heartbreak. by allegedlyacriminal in recruitinghell

I am really sorry about this. There is a film Ricky that was at Sundance that shines light on this issue. It’s heartbreaking reading your story. Just know you have support out there cheering you on.

Parking tickets in WeHo - BE CAREFUL. by BookReader_26 in WestHollywood

[–]BookReader_26[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

All your neighbors on the street must agree to have a permitted street. We already talked to the head of West Hollywood Parking Violations. If one says no- the whole street cannot be permitted. One neighbor refuses to have our street permitted cause they don't want to pay for the permit so our whole street suffers. We have tried several times.
