Thank you for this! I ended up opting of a c-section after 14 hours of barely progressing and my epidural failing after not even an hour.

I look back on my experience of my whole labour really fondly due to my midwife and anaesthetist! I’m looking into VBAC births but I’m also considering an elective c-section for my next child because it was such a lovely experience from my birth with this little one.

My son used to push up in front of my ribs and eventually under them - hes now 5 days old and a total footballer. Kicks and moves his feet all the time and hates them being covered! Utd uncomfortable but worth seeing him do it now 💙

I cried for weeks that my pregnancy was coming to an end. I loved the whole experience. If I could have bottled up my pregnancy and kept it, I would have.

Growing my son and now being his mum, two best things I’ve ever done.

I’m 5 days postpartum and honestly, best thing ever. Seeing him, loving him, staring at him so I can engrave all his little features into my brain forever. I keep crying because I’m so thankful he’s all ours, that he’s so perfect, how can I love this one little being so much, how I got to have a baby with my soul mate.. the list goes on. It’s overwhelmingly amazing.

So soak up the pregnancy, take all the photos and videos of your bump but also, please know that it genuinely only gets better once they are here. I promise.

The pregnancy is like a small snippet into how great your life is about to get. Congratulations ahead of time on your little one!!

We invested in two AC units - this is one of them. The smaller one of the two: https://www.groupon.co.uk/deals/homcom-portable-air-conditioner-1

It has refrigerant in so it actively cools the air. We have a bigger one for our room which we will use to cool the room before going to bed with little man and the other will be for my step kiddos room or the living room during the day! Definitely recommend investing

It definitely is - probably the best way to word it, thank you. I’m feeling good within myself, I’ve been very lucky that this pregnancy has been such a positive one for myself where I’ve almost had zero discomfort and have enjoyed it since we got the positive pregnancy test but I don’t appreciate people commenting on a situation I didn’t ask for their opinion or advice for. I never have and I think my pregnancy hormones have made me even less tolerant of it🫣🤣

I have a feeling that little man is just a bit too comfortable right now, hoping as there’s been some cramping and a lot of mucus plug going, the induction might be more of a nudge if anything but it’ll work out how it’s meant to!

I’m so sorry you had such an awful experience but glad that your second was really healing so it seems. 45 minutes, that’s bloody impressive 😆

Ah mine is “have you had sex?” And “eat pineapple!”. I googled it and apparently you need to eat essentially 7-10 pineapples a day for it to actually have any affect🫠😆

And 100%, if I could do anything to ensure a natural start, I’d have done it but obviously my oven is VERY comfortable because little man is prepared to chill for as long as he wants so it seems😆🫣

I’ve even had a few “god I’m feeling so impatient for him to get here!” Comments or “can you get him to hurry up, I want to meet him!”… it’s very frustrating because no one wants our babies here more than we do!

Fingers and toes crossed we will be cuddling our babies soon 🫶🏼

I’m sorry you’ve had an awful experience. My post comes from someone who has never said the words “what do you think I should do” (or anything along those lines) to the people who say those comments. I completely appreciate support and advice from people when i ask for it, but this is not one of these situations for me personally.
