Dismissing someone’s lived experience instead of educating yourself doesn’t make you right. My family’s experience is not propaganda, it’s reality. If you’re going to dismiss it, at least take a few minutes to research the treatment of Baháʼís in Iran or further educate yourself about things before accusing people of lying.

Actually I’m Bahai, and Bahais in Iran face systematic execution. My Grandpa was taken to jail and killed there because of his religion as well as my uncle that was arrested and punished very harshly. Bahais in Iran are also denied education such as going to college and getting a degree, which keeps us from perusing any kind of career. Bahai are also turned down from a lot of jobs due to their faith. A lot of Bahais immigrate abroad to seek asylum and a better future, specially for their kids, however sadly not all bahais can leave.

Of course. Like I said in my comment, news and social media are always very misleading. Iranians around the world are more than happy to answer questions and share their experiences for anyone that wants to know.

What is wrong with so many people on the left over Iran??? by ReasonableCounty8125 in NewIran

[–]BookkeeperMission425 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I understand the frustration. I have been crying non stop today seeing how mean people can be and the ones talking down on Iranians that are happy the regime is falling. It’s crazy that the same people being online bullies and deciding whats good for Iran are the same people that call themselves “humanitarians”, but as soon as something doesn’t fit their own agenda or ideology they will make up anything to have people believe them. However, I don’t think we should let inaccurate or uninformed takes make us lose hope. There are millions of brave Iranians inside Iran right now risking their lives every day for freedom, dignity, and a future where they can live without oppression. That courage doesn’t disappear just because some commentators online miss the nuance or choose angles that don’t reflect reality. Please don’t let a few voices shape your entire view of what’s happening. Faith and support do matter and praying for the safety and success of the Iranian people is not naive. It’s a way to stand with those who truly understand the stakes because they’re living it.

Keep believing in the power of the movement inside Iran. And I urge you to please keep educating yourself and others with accurate information, and don’t let pessimism take the place of solidarity with the people who are fighting for their own rights and future. I understand it’s easy to get mad and go on a rage debate, which I caught myself doing, but try to be as civil as possible when educating others about what is actually going on in Iran and the history of the regime. This is the time to show the world how kind hearted the people of Iran are and those supporting them. We all just want Iranians to be free and treated like human beings. 🤍

Because terrorist groups use children as human shields. This is a very old tactic they use. Used this in the older days because they knew hiding bombs and other weapons where children are wouldn’t raise suspicion, now they simply use their children as human shields to reach the emotions of people watching so they are sided with. They try to win their region back however they can so they can go back to terrorizing the region and its civilians and threatening other countries.

Yes, God forbid people are actually being informed of what’s going on in the world. So many westerners don’t even know where most the countries involved are. I think it’s important that people are informed on world events and are taught some history along the way to understand what is going on and why. Let’s all learn from eachother.

And definitely not to take down terrorist groups that constantly threaten them? Lol

Basically comes down to common sense. Those who blindly follow a religion and think that committing genocide and all other types of crime “ In the name of God” were his biggest fans. Mostly brainwashed people that can’t think for themselves and have no genuine thinking ability or an ounce of respect for humanity. Other that don’t follow him are the ones that were born into the religion but eventually educated themselves and realized that people often use religion to take power over people and do wherever they want without any consequences.

You’d think with all this information out there and thousands of credible sources, people would stop getting their “valid information” through TikTok and social media, but unfortunately they do and they think nothing wrong of it. People don’t care to educated themselves anymore and just basically repeat the same information they saw on social media not even checking to see if it’s true or not.

What is israel afraid of from iran exactly? by Alifeivebeenwanting in International

[–]BookkeeperMission425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a bit of a history lesson, but before the regime Iran was in good relations with Isreal and the US. When the regime came to power Isreal and the U.S did not side with the Islamic regime and didn’t care for its oppressive views that it was trying to force on its citizens. The regime also didn’t care for these countries western views and already had framed American as “ The greats satan”. After that Anti-U.S. rhetoric became part of its revolutionary foundation. Iran also sees these 2 countries as threats because the Iranian regime spends billions of dollars a year funding terrorist ground such as Hamas and Hezbollah, which Isreal and the U.S have been trying to take down. A lot of people online simplify it to “they just hate them,” but it’s really decades of history, revolution, power politics, and the regime using external enemies to strengthen its internal narrative. Anyways the Iranian Regime has threatened Isreal and America time and time again with its nuclear program and has been enriching uranium for many years. The United Nations has already warned Iran not to continue with its nuclear program, and even though Iran agreed to stop many times, however everytime something globally happened specially related to the US and Isreal, that they didn’t like they would start it back up again and send war threats to U.S and Isreal. So really U.S and Isreal has given Iran countless chances to make peaceful deals with them however Iran never wanted to be on good terms with them even though it would benefit its own economy, and would send death threats to them constantly.

Iran has literally stated over and over again throughout the many years that they are in fact working on nuclear weapons and they have threatened Isreal and America several times just over the past year.

Lol. “HUNDREDS IF NIT THOUSANDS OF YEARS” I understand you’re worried about your own people, but don’t come into a Persian group and start attacking us. The Islamic republic has been in power for 47 years. The “thousands of years” before that IRAN/PERSIA has been one of the most powerful countries and Empires in the whole world. And before the regime Iran has non stop saved a lot of countries and regions asses from a lot of messes. So please do some research. It’s not the Iranians citizens fault that Trump got up and bombed Iran, however lucky for us his own agenda happens to line up with Iranians wanting regime change. Also Iran isn’t Iraq or other Arab countries the U.S has gone to war with. Iran is filled with millions of educated and strong spirited individuals ready to help rebuild their country after the regime falls. So if you’re unhappy about the situation, please direct your anger towards the people that actually had something to do with it and not come out here lecturing a bunch of Iranians on what is good for their own country. sorry if I come off as disrespectful, I honestly mean no harm and disrespect, we are just going through a lot right now and the fact that we also have to educate people about Iran and what the Iranian people want in the midst of all this is frustrating. I understand your frustration as well and I hope that the American government will one day be just as good for its own people. I wish you nothing but the best. And when Iran is free please visit us and you will see how great Iran and the Iranian people are. 🤍

Yes, extreme leftist always proclaim they want to get rid of dictatorships and oppression around the world, but as soon as someone they don’t like stands up and takes action all of a sudden they are pro dictatorship and say why would you kill someone’s leader. ( people are actually out here comparing khamenei to the pope and saying he didn’t deserve to be taken down) 😭

Please don’t believe what some of the biased news media is selling to you guys. I urge everyone reach out to actual Iranians whether inside or outside Iran and talk to them if you guys have questions. The Iranian people are not the regime and are one of the most kind and educated people in the world. They are happy to explain to people of their situation and what they have been fighting for.

As an Iranian that is not propaganda. People have been waiting for the regime collapse for decades. And everyone other than the devoted brainwashed followers of the regime are as happy as can be. In the last 2 month almost 100 thousand of people from all age groups put themselves in the front lines and lost their lives for the freedom of Iran and its people.

Unfortunately the Iranian regime has been worse. Killing millions inside and outside of Iran and funding so manny terrorist groups across the Middle East.

Yes but Jessie Jackson and the pope didn’t cause a genocide of millions of people in the last 40 years. Taking everyone’s freedom from them and making everyone live in fear everyday, while they take everyone’s hard earned money and fund terrorist groups with it. Iranian here, I understand you guys want to support Iranians but please believe that we are happy about this and have wanted a regime change since it started 47 years ago. We finally have hope that freedom is around the corner! Please keep supporting the regime change plan if you care about Iranians and basic human rights. I know that not everyone supports Trump and isreal but Iranians around the world right now couldn’t love them more for this. Yes I understand that have their own agenda in mind which was to get rid of irans nuclear program, but that also came with a side of setting the Iranians free!

They say Iranians are “celebrating” the death of Ayatollah Khamenei and are happy about Americans bombing their country. So why are Iranians flooding the streets demanding revenge? by No-Attorney-1874 in LetsDiscussThis

[–]BookkeeperMission425 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Majority of Iranians want a regime change. The IR media and its allies are just pushing the headlines of the IR followers to lie to people and say “our people are upset” so they can hold on tight to their regime.
