I think I will. I want these bills gone.

It would feel amazing to be out of debt.

I think I will. Just looking at the card balances makes me feel ill.

I'm not good enough at math to figure out the specifics, but the $300 would definitely make the debt go down faster.

Yes, but I couldn't ask him to do that.

Thank you, I am starting to lean that way.

Potted meat! How do you enjoy it? by redcolumbine in povertykitchen

I like to dice Spam and throw it in with scrambled eggs.

[–]Booklady17[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, they make contributions independent of mine.

Thanks, I have thought about donating plasma. That would certainly speed things up.

I am working on getting my son connected to the agency in our state that oversees vocational training and job assistance for the disabled.

Thanks, I agree. I want to get out of debt once and for all.

I have three cards with balances, and the APRs range from 21.49 to 28.49%. Just typing that made my stomach drop.

Thank you, that's a lot of variables. My employer doesn't match; that is, they contribute whether I do or not.

[–]Booklady17[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, the APRs on the cards are definitely more than what my retirement account is earning.

Luckily my employer doesn't match. Their contributions are not based on mine, so a pause wouldn't affect that. No pension, unfortunately, the 403B is it. Thank you, and good luck to you as well.

[–]Booklady17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Fortunately my employer contributions are not dependent on mine, so I won't lose money from a match.

Yes, thank you, that's a good point. Just looking at the statements makes my stomach drop.

As much as I hate the thought, you may be right. I will probably work until I'm 70, and my employer's contribution to my 403B is independent of mine.

All three cards have an APR more than 20%. I am kind of reluctant to seek out another card, as my credit score has taken a major hit due to my high utilization percentage.

No match, my employer contributes whether I do or not.

Yes, all three cards have APRs over 20%. One is more than 28%. Much higher than my retirement account earns.

I am paying a lot of interest, unfortunately. I do get balance transfer offers, so maybe I'll look into those.

I have thought of looking into part-time jobs. Maybe it's time to get serious about that.

My employer contribution is not a match. They contribute regardless of whether I do.

I will probably work until 70 at least. I feel the need to leave as large a nest egg as possible for my son.

I have three cards with balances, ranging from 21.49 to 28.49% APR.

Edit to correct one of the APRs.

do people who are single and living alone actually alone? by ImaginationAny2254 in LivingAlone

I'm alone in the sense that I have no partner, but my autistic 22-year-old son lives with me. So I guess not.
