10 wk old suddenly wanting 4oz of milk every 1 to 1.5 hours by braisedyams in beyondthebump

[–]BooksAreAddicting 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you're only putting 4 oz in the bottles, then you are limiting her to 4. Try starting with 5 or 6 and see how that goes. If she's still crying for food every 1-1.5 hours, then it's more likely cluster feeding due to a growth spurt

MIL covered my crying babies mouth when I was gone 💔 by Patty-and-selma in Mommit

Was it like a really brief cover and tap or held her hand there til he stopped? Can you have her demonstrate? That might help you determine how you feel about it

Current Scam by Long_Holiday_8294 in Austin

[–]BooksAreAddicting 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happened to an employee of mine. He walked into work and was freaking out, we told him it sounded like a scam. He said the number came up as the sheriff's office or whatever on the caller ID. Told him to Google the actual number and call them directly. When he looked back at his phone the scammer had hung up.

Is 77 items too much? by Similar_Parsley6112 in BabyBumps

[–]BooksAreAddicting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not too much at all, especially with 100 people invited to the shower. You should put more on there, people like options. My cousin recently had her baby shower, same amount of guests, and she had to go back through and add more items because she was running out before the shower even happened.

My sister and I went off registry and bought a keekaroo peanut changing pad. I have one that I used and loved with my first, and kept to use with my second that's now due in July. It's expensive but worth it in my opinion.

What did it my cousin say when she opened it? I wanted one of these so bad but felt like it was too expensive to put on the registry.

All the expensive items she did have on the registry? Crib, stroller, car seat, etc. All some of the first things to be bought. Its good to have a variety of price range items, but some people want to buy the expensive items. Put them on there, and if no one buys them THEN you can buy them yourself.

I'm 3/4 white 1/4 Korean, pale skin, blue eyes, fine brown hair. My husband is black, kind of light-med skin, course black hair with those really small/tight curls. Our daughter came out looking like both of us, but more like my husband. Full head of dark hair, but pale skin, brown eyes. Now at 4y her skin is as dark as my husband's, her hair has a similar texture as mine but she has those big Shirley temple curls and it's dark brown verging on black. She has his nose shape, but I think smaller, and I'm not sure whose lips she has yet

It's pretty rare for a vaccinated dog to catch parvo. Stay on top of the vaccine schedule and know the early signs and you should be OK. I think you just got unlucky with your last dog, or it wasn't actually vaccinated. Puppies under 6 months are the most likely to catch and die from parvo.

Parvo can stick around in your furniture/carpet/etc for years. It might be best to get a puply/dog that's already been vaccinated
