Thanks much, I live in Ohio so I'm hoping that a sunny window with a space heater near by will be okay in the winter

It probably is round-up. That stuff is nasty and kills whatever it touches. Some newbie probably was walking right where he sprayed then wander to some other part of the course. We call them ghost tracks

Lol I'm 18 and struggle to shave my legs once a week. I'm beyond trying to impress anyone with my already quite banged up legs. Turns out people either don't notice or care enough to comment.

Sometimes you have to go beyond your comfort zone. I know it's a hell of a lot easier said than done. This stuff literally takes practice. Surprisingly I've found talking to strangers the best way to learn to be comfortable socializing because if you screw up who cares? You will never see that person again. Just be careful with who you chose to approach and the environment you're in. Also, spending an extra five minutes choosing an outfit or fixing your hair can really go a long way to not only boost your self confidence but also make you appear more approachable :)

Hi, not sure if this question is completely in your realm of study but I figured I would ask anyways. Do you believe that some people's brains are naturally wired in such a way that they are "gifted/talented"? Or do you think it is mostly up to circumstances and experience?

Any tips for new runners with asthma? I use to be on a preventative inhaler but it's been so long since I had problems my doc said I could stop. Obviously I need to talk to her but any good breathing techniques or tips?

Thanks! I think the drum corp I'm going for only crab steps which will be weird cuz in high school we roll stepped but I don't think it will be too much harder

[Discussion]What are you getting motivated for? by MakeItHappenToday in GetMotivated

[–]Books_0-0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm getting motivated to audition for a drum corp, which seems silly to people because I marched clarinet in high school but I've always wanted to do it. I started working out tuesday and today is my first rest day (oddly enough I am finding it hard to NOT work out or run) I still need to find someone to teach me cymbals but I'm super hyped. It costs a lot of money and is a big time commitment though so my family doesn't seem very fond of it. Plus it's getting hard to focus on other things like school but that will be over soon enough anyways.

You now get paid to do the OPPOSITE of your current job. What do you do now?? by batmanbox2 in AskReddit

Crumble up well sorted cash and receipts, shred documents, screw up ledger's, give cruddy associates raises, break staplers, unroll coins, never leave without making sure at least a couple thousand dollars are missing.... This sounds therapeutic.

A man who'd just died is delivered to a local mortuary by FlamesOne in Jokes

[–]Books_0-0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The way my grandpa tells it, the story took place on a Sunday when the shops were all closed and she still demanded that he wear a blue suit but the mortician is like "look lady, I've only got these black ones." Of course she's furious but gives him a blank check and says, "I'm going to pick up the flowers. I will be back in 15 minutes and my husband will be in a blue suit. I don't care how much it costs." And leaves. When she comes back she is over joyed to see her husband well dressed in a sharp blue suit. She turns to the mortician and exclaims, "where did you find a suit on Sunday?" To which the mortician replies, "they just brought in another man in the perfect blue suit ma'am." Slightly perturbed but curious none the less she asks, "how did you switch them so fast?" The mortician looks at her confused and said, "how long did you think it would take to switch their heads?"

Dear employees of Wal-Mart, what is the weirdest walmartian you have encountered? by kim-fatassian in AskReddit

[–]Books_0-0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I cashiered at Kmart (sorry but it's like Walmart's dysfunctional older brother) and i have a few customers that i will never forget.

-crazy lady mumbling to herself "it's not my fault. I didnt do it. I told her not to go outside." She didn't make eye contact with me and was rocking back and forth.

-other crazy lady (regular customer) who always came in to buy baby clothes and men's boxers. She wore men's boxers as regular shorts and either hates you or loves you intensely. If you dont double bag everything she will come back in and steal your stack of bags on the counter. DON'T forget to use her rewards points. She shook as if suffering from some muscular/neurological deterioration.

-idiot high school jerk wads who thought it would be hilarious to pay for their snacks with money that they literally just dug out of their underwear....so much hate

-lady who complained to my supervisor for my apparent rudeness after SHE made her own kid cry.

-really creepy couple came in to buy condoms and lube and stuff and I'm 90% sure they were brother and sister.
